Absolute Regression

Chapter 145: Even if It’s Nonsense, It Might Be Delicious

The first to speak was the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss.

She waved her light pink fan gently and said, “Hey, handsome little brother!”

Her eyes, directed at me, were full of allure.

“How about leaving here with me, little brother? Things are about to get rough around here.”

I smiled and replied to her, “What should I do madam? You’re not my type.”

“Oh my! Did you just call me ‘madam’? I’m not that old. Just call me older sister.” 1

I asked Soma, “How old do you think she is?”

“She’s easily over sixty.”

At that, the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss shouted angrily.

“Shut up, you ugly demon bastard! I’m still twenty-eight.”

She wasn’t even afraid of the Evil Smiling Demon. Truly a fearless villainess.

“Didn’t you say you were twenty-eight ten years ago?”

“You remember that?”

“You looked over forty even back then.”

The Evil Smiling Demon seemed to know exactly what would upset her the most.

A sinister aura emanated from the enraged Enchantress of Extreme Bliss.

“I’ll finally see what’s behind that mask today. If you hadn’t crawled into the cult, you’d have been dead by my hands long ago.”

Just from the conversation, it was clear that they didn’t get along.

Then, the third of the Three Blood-Red Armies, who was nearby, sided with the Evil Smiling Demon.

“This old hag’s demonic energy grows more sinister by the day.”

The second one next to him pretended to intervene but ended up mocking her.

“Hey, watch your mouth, or that witch will suck all your energy dry.”

When the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss turned to them with a grim face, the eldest of the Three Blood-Red Armies finally spoke up.

“My brothers have always had loose tongues. Just think of it as a dog barking as you pass by.”

The Enchantress of Extreme Bliss sneered.

“Why do those dogs bark whenever they see people?”

Despite the exchange, she seemed to have some level of camaraderie with the eldest. It was clear that the leader of the Three Blood-Red Armies was the calm and composed eldest.

“We’ll make sure to put muzzles on them the next time we go out.”

At that moment, the third one mimed whispering, but his voice was still loud enough for everyone to hear.

“With how much he defends her, I wouldn’t be surprised if our elder brother had spent a hot night with that witch.”

“Then we should honor her as our sister-in-law.”

The eldest closed his eyes briefly and addressed the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss.

“Think of it as the ravings of a senile fool.”

On the surface, it appeared as though they were exchanging idle chatter, but they were prepared to strike at any moment.

The second and third, who spoke as if they were carefree rogues, each had a formidable aura. If they were anything less, they would have already been torn apart by the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss.

I had stealthily extended several threads of energy, like a spider weaving its web, to observe their auras. Just as a spider’s web vibrates when prey is caught, I keenly monitored how their auras fluctuated.

They were relaxed, exuding confidence that if they combined their efforts, they could easily kill Soma. The jokes they exchanged reflected that confidence.

At that moment, the Lord of Hell, who had entered last, opened his mouth.

“If you’ve gone senile, you should die.”

He deliberately altered his voice to sound ominous, as if death itself were speaking. 2

He pulled out a booklet from his robe and opened it. It was the kill list that he carried.

“These wicked ones should have fallen into the Eight Burning Hells long ago. I will send them there now.”

At that, the second and youngest of the Three Blood-Red Armies clicked their tongues and spoke.

“That crazy fool’s sickness shows no signs of improvement.”

“You fool, instead of writing our names, you should be jotting down the name of that masked one over there.”

I guessed that they were well-acquainted with each other and often met, so I sent a telepathic message to the Evil Smiling Demon.

—”Do you know where these people are from?”

—”These are people from the Valley of Wicked.”

The Evil Smiling Demon’s dwelling within the Heavenly Demon Divine Cult was the Valley of Wicked. However, the Valley of Wicked he referred to just now was not his residence.

There is a real Valley of the Wicked in the Central Plains where wicked people gather. 3

No one knows exactly when the Valley of Wicked came into being. It started as a place where criminals, who had committed crimes and fled, began to gather one by one. The area was filled with swamps, venomous snakes, and poisonous insects, with all sorts of traps set up, so that anyone who entered without caution would lose their life after just a few steps.

Even if one managed to survive the dangers and make it inside, they would still face all manner of villains waiting within. A child guiding you along the path might stab you in the throat with a dagger, and a seemingly kind old woman could lace your food with poison. Thus was the nature of the Valley of Wicked.

The Martial Alliance had attempted to eradicate the place several times, but each time they failed. The sheer number of villains was so overwhelming that they suffered significant losses and had to retreat.

Despite this, the Valley of the Wicked had never risen as a major power in the martial world for one reason.

Because they were villains.

Whenever someone tried to unite them, betrayal was inevitable. As soon as they opened their eyes, they would be stealing, fighting, and killing each other, preventing them from ever forming a cohesive force.

Such was the Valley of Wicked, and yet, those from that very place had come together with the purpose of killing the Evil Smiling Demon. These weren’t just ordinary villains—if someone had managed to mobilize people of this caliber, it suggested that the person behind this was truly formidable.

—”What’s our plan?”

Soma responded to my telepathic question without hesitation.

—”Wipe them all out.”

—”Is that possible?”

—”It is. They’ve overlooked the most crucial factor in their calculations.”

—”Which is me, of course?”

—”No, it’s the fact that I don’t like falling into traps.”

They had seriously underestimated the Evil Smiling Demon’s temperament.

Dare to set a trap to kill me? And even use the Silver Won Coin?

Soma was clearly enraged. However, since the opponents were not ones he could simply dispose of on a whim, he was likely waiting for the right opportunity.

Just then, the Blood Wolf Blade, who had been sitting alone, suddenly stood up and declared as if issuing an order.

“Evil Smiling Demon, I challenge you to a duel to the death.”

Immediately, the Lord of Hell intervened.

“The Evil Smiling Demon’s name is already on the register. I’ll be the one to take him.”

He opened the kill list, where Soma’s name was written in red ink.

The Enchantress of Extreme Bliss licked her lips with her tongue, her eyes gleaming with desire for the Evil Smiling Demon.

“Even if it’s troublesome, he looks like he’d be delicious.”

The Three Blood-Red Armies were no different.

“If those guys kill him, we’ll have to keep listening to them boast. We should take the lead.”

It seemed that everyone wanted a piece of the Evil Smiling Demon. After all, killing him would be something they’d boast about for a long time.

Seeing this, I spoke to the Evil Smiling Demon.

“Really, you’re quite popular.”

“This is nothing. When it comes to the orthodox factions, it’s absolute chaos. They’d line up for miles just to kill me.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at his joke.

Naturally, the villains’ gazes turned toward me. Judging by their reactions, it seemed they still didn’t know who I was.

The Blood Wolf Blade asked me,

“Kid, who are you?”

Instead of answering directly, I replied to him,

“I’ve heard you’re someone who usually walks your own path. I didn’t expect you’d take on a contract to kill someone.”

The Blood Wolf Blade glared at me coldly, clearly struck by my words. I didn’t know the exact circumstances that led him here, but I was aware that he was a man who had lived solely by his pride.

“Who are you?” he asked again.

“I am Geom Mugeuk.”

“Geom Mugeuk?”

At that moment, the eldest of the Three Blood-Red Armies recognized me.

“He’s the second son of the Heavenly Demon.”

His once calm expression immediately twisted into a scowl.

“Damn it! That cursed bastard! He lured us into a place where the Heavenly Demon’s bloodline is present.”

Then the second of the group chimed in.

“He’ll probably claim he didn’t know he’d come with the Evil Smiling Demon. But it’s not like we can just retreat now, so this is a tricky situation.”

Although I didn’t know the specifics, it seemed they were also driven into a situation where they had no choice but to kill the Evil Smiling Demon. After all, if that weren’t the case, they wouldn’t dare think of killing a Demon Supreme.

On the other hand, the Blood Wolf Blade showed no fear, even after learning of my identity.

“You think you can talk recklessly just because of your father? Do you think I’m afraid of him?”

This was yet another display of his pride. He was a man who lived and died by his pride. But how could this be called true pride?

“A person with nothing to protect has nothing to fear.”

At my words, his aura intensified. He looked ready to draw his sword at any moment, but I broke the momentum and retreated behind the Evil Smiling Demon.

The Blood Wolf Blade didn’t recklessly draw his sword. He was still cautious of Soma, likely because he didn’t know my true strength.

I then openly asked the Evil Smiling Demon, loud enough for everyone to hear.

“The one behind this must be someone formidable, given they mobilized these individuals?”

“As you can see, that’s correct.”

“Then why didn’t they come themselves and instead sent these people?”

“Probably… because of the Young Master.”

“Because of me?”

“They’re hoping one of these people kills you. Then the responsibility for your death would fall on them.” 3

“What a cowardly tactic.”

I looked at the villains and spoke.

“So, who’s going to be the first to fall for this cowardly scheme?”

A brief silence fell. Even in the Valley of Wicked, the name of the Heavenly Demon carried a certain fear. If my father got truly enraged, he could easily annihilate the Valley of Wicked. The only reason he hadn’t done so yet was that the Valley posed a greater burden on the Martial Alliance.

The villains began exchanging telepathic messages. Outwardly, they seemed eager to tear each other apart, but these were seasoned villains who had survived the martial world. They were cautious, especially when their lives were on the line. It was this carefulness that had allowed them to survive despite all their wicked deeds.

After a moment, the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss stepped forward, flashing a seductive smile.

“Dear Brother, you really should leave with me. Is it right for someone of your status to be tangled up with such filthy villains?” 5

The moment I caught her gaze, I could feel her intent to kill me. It seemed that, at this moment, the one pulling the strings from nearby was far more terrifying to her than the Heavenly Demon, who was far away.

The Enchantress of Extreme Bliss began to lightly wave her fan.

“Brother, shall we go outside?”

As a crimson aura flowed from the fan, a sinister energy enveloped me. She was using her Soul Reaping Technique on me—a technique she had used to drain the inner strength of countless martial artists over the years.

As a crimson light clouded my eyes, she shouted to the Evil Smiling Demon.

“Move, and the Young Master dies!”

Soma didn’t so much as flinch. In truth, even if she hadn’t warned him, he wouldn’t have moved. He was certain that I had killed the Soul Reaper Demon Supreme, so how could I not be able to handle the flimsy Soul Reaping Technique of a mere Enchantress of Extreme Bliss? He trusted me that much.

Believing that I was completely entranced by her Soul Reaping Technique and had lost my reason, she approached me and placed her palm on my lower abdomen.

“Shall I savor the fresh inner energy of our dear Brother?”

*Whhooooosh!*

The sound of my energy being drained from my dantian filled the air.

The Enchantress of Extreme Bliss let out a cry of ecstasy.

“It has been my lifelong wish to suck the essence of the Heavenly Demon! Now that I’ve devoured his bloodline, half of my wish is fulfilled.”

Her expression shifted wildly, reflecting a mix of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. The Evil Smiling Demon and the other villains in the hall simply watched the scene unfold.

The youngest of the Three Blood-Red Armies sneered at Soma.

“You heartless bastard! You’re just standing there watching as the bloodline of the Heavenly Demon suffers.”

The Evil Smiling Demon calmly asked them,

“Can you handle the consequences of this?”

“We’ll just hide in the Valley of Wicked. We’ll burn your bodies to ash, and no one will ever know it was us. Even if the truth comes out, do you really think your Demonic Cult would risk so many lives to attack the Valley?”

At the third brother’s reply, the Evil Smiling Demon said nothing more and continued to watch as the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss drained my inner energy.

And then, a moment later…

*Thud.*

The Enchantress of Extreme Bliss collapsed to the ground as if her body had crumbled.

The First of the Three Blood-Red Armies, startled, hurried to check on her.

“Old hag, what’s wrong?”

As he examined her, he cried out in shock.

“She’s dead! She died because her internal energy was completely drained!” 6

At that moment, I suddenly opened my eyes.

“Ah, I’m full! It may have been a hassle, but it was quite delicious.”

I had absorbed all of her internal energy in reverse.

Though I pretended to fall victim, sorcery doesn’t work on me. Especially not techniques like the Soul Reaping Arts.

Recently, I had gained new insights into martial arts, and with the addition of the Blood Eye Essence, Heavenly Demon Body Protection Technique, and Heavenly Meridian Strengthening Technique, it was impossible for her to siphon any internal energy from my body.

In the end, the Enchantress of Extreme Bliss met a miserable death, falling victim to the very methods she had used to exploit men all her life.

As I gathered the internal energy obtained from her into my dantian, I turned to the Lord of Hell with an even deeper gaze.

“What are you staring at? Aren’t you going to write my sister’s name in the register of the dead?”

1 : Ewww, always horrible when Thots tries to act younger than they are

2 : Lol, he’s a chunni XDXDXD

3 : Former ‘comrades’ then ^^

4 : Probably not Muyang since the trap was set before he even took the mission. Or else, he’s much more dangerous than he let on so far.

5 : Considering his path of exterminating pure evil, I think he’ll mix up with villains a lot in this life XDXDXD

6 : Hahahaha, what a pitiful and accurate death, for a succubus to be drained instead !!!! She will become a laughingstock XDXDXD
