Chapter 1829 Not Dead Yet

Chapter 1829 Not Dead Yet

The mountain range shook from the impact of the attack as Magical Beasts about two to three hundred kilometers away turned to look in the direction where the explosion kicked off. Even from such a distance, they could not only sense the dreadful power that caused such a powerful explosion, but the bright light could be seen. The Magical Beasts all instinctively increased the distance between them and the place where the explosion took pace.

One has to know that this was a world in which its strongest existence were basically Peak Sovereigns, and creating such an impact can only be done by those either at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane, or very close to it. Anything close to the Peak of the Sovereign Plane isn't anything they could deal with.

The Magical Beasts weren't the only ones within the two to three hundred kilometers radius, there were also Elementalists who came out to explore this vast mountain range, sensing the impact of the explosion, they all knew that top powerhouses were currently fighting, and getting any close was no different from seeking death. Most of those in the mountain range fled as fast and as far as possible. Nevertheless, there were a few risk takers who believed that whatever was on the receiving end of that explosion must've suffered dearly and it might be a chance for them to benefit greatly from it. This might not be a common occurrence, but there are a few people who have taken such risks and are rewarded richly for it.

If both parties behind the attack didn't survive this clash, then whoever gets there first will be able to obtain the treasures of these experts.

Following the explosion, a large number of people and Magical Beasts were on the move. Most of them were increasing the distance between them and the area of the explosion, while a small minority were sneaking in the direction of the explosion.

At the site of the explosion.

The light shone brightly for a few seconds before dying down. As soon as the light died down, the terrain flattened. The numerous mountains within a three to four kilometer radius were nowhere to be seen as the place has been replaced by flat ground filled with rubbles, from shattered tree barks, to rocks

At the center of the newly formed flat ground was a humanoid figure. The humanoid figure was in a half kneeling position as it tried to stand up. A faint fiery glow flashed around the figure. Before long, it stood up, gazing in a particular direction.

The sound of rocks being moved spread out from the direction the Elemental Warrior was staring at as Grey's sorry figure crawled out from one part of the large rubbles. Scanning the open space, his eyes halted at the fiery red Elemental Warrior making his expression turned dark. Even after taking a five colored fusion orb head-on, the Elemental Warrior was still left standing.

A few seconds after Grey appeared, City Lord Vaughn and Lord Harry also managed to crawl out of wherever they were knocked down to and rushed to his side. Rushing over to Grey's side this time, the look of awe in City Lord Vaughn's eyes couldn't be hidden. Grey was a Sixth stage Sovereign, if he hadn't sensed Grey's cultivation stage, he would have sworn with his life that he was a Ninth stage Sovereign after that attack. Only a Ninth stage Sovereign could unleash such a powerful attack, and not the average Ninth stage Sovereign for that matter.

Lord Harry was staring at Grey as if he was looking at a ghost, he couldn't help but recall his first encounter with Grey and how he tried to attack him. Only now did he understand that Grey didn't take action against him not because he was afraid of the City Lord residing in the residence, rather, he didn't deem it fit to waste his time on him.

'How did he become this strong?' Lord Harry could tell that Grey was quite young, and not like those old monsters who would keep their youthful appearance. How did someone Grey's age manage to cultivate to such a terrifying level. What frightened him the most was the fact that Grey was still only a Sixth stage Sovereign, like himself. If as a Sixth stage Sovereign he could already unleash such might, how powerful would he become once he breaks through to the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane?

"Stay focused, it's not dead yet." City Lord Vaughn's words woke him up. Realizing their predicament, his expression turned dark.

Grey glanced at City Lord Vaughn and Lord Harry who just rushed to his side, turning his gaze from them, he tried to sense the auras of the other two City Lords.

Grey wasn't the only one searching for the duo, City Lord Vaughn was also doing the same. After all, it was only with the help of their combined strength were they able to make the Elemental Warrior suffer a loss. If the duo weren't with them, then their chances of winning which didn't look good to begin with will decrease even further. Sensing the auras of the duo, the hearts of City Lord Vaughn and Grey sank. The reason for this was simple: they could only sense the aura of one of the City Lords, and this aura was extremely weak, seemingly on the verge of going out.

Knowing the reason they couldn't sense the other aura, City Lord Vaughn felt his heart tighten. Without the duo's help, he wasn't confident that they could beat the Elemental Warrior. If five of them couldn't harm the Elemental Warrior, what could only three do? Lord Harry couldn't even be counted since he could barely do anything to the Elemental Warrior.

"It's weakened." Grey's comment traveled to City Lord Vaughn's ears while he was still thinking about ways to deal with the Elemental Warrior.

Hearing Grey's words, City Lord Vaughn took the opportunity to study the Elemental Warrior and noticed that its glow wasn't as sharp nor bright as it used to be. This meant that although it wasn't dead, it was weakened by their joint attack.

'We still have a chance!'

The despair which was creeping into the heart of City Lord Vaughn with the death of one of his companions vanished as he realized that they had a chance against it and their effort wasn't in vain.
