The previous matches lasted anywhere from half an hour to just over ten minutes.
A match where two pets of the same level ended so quickly was a first for the audience since the start of the national championship, causing a stir among the spectators.
"That’s it? I don’t think even a minute has passed."
"I don’t get it. How did that girl recognize the Rogue Pig’s clones right away?"
"Aren’t Dark-type pets supposed to counter Ghost-types? Why does it feel like that advantage doesn’t exist at all?"
"Damn, a three-dimensional Shadow Bind! Isn’t that basically unbeatable at the same level?!"
"Shadow Bind is all about restriction, right? Logically, the Rogue Pig, being a Dark-type, should be able to break free."
"But it’s in a three-dimensional mode, and the proficiency is so high. It’s not something you can escape from easily. Plus, the Treasure-Seeking Demon immediately followed up with Hypnosis, there was no time for the Rogue Pig to break free.""Did it use Hypnosis right away? I thought I saw it touch that flower with its claws first, like it was teasing the Rogue Pig on purpose."
"You don’t get it! That’s strategy! Didn’t you notice how the Rogue Pig’s eyes bulged when the Treasure-Seeking Demon touched the flower? The wider the eyes, the easier it is to hypnotize."
"Ohhh, that makes sense!"
About 70% of the audience were students, most of whom reacted instinctively to the battle, while the leaders in the front row focused on analysis.
"Invisibility from its Ghost-type and Teleportation from its Psychic-type… Forget the Rogue Pig, even a high-level pet would struggle to land a hit on this Treasure-Seeking Demon."
"That Qiao Sang planned well. She deliberately mentioned burning the flower to bait the Rogue Pig into making a mistake, then swiftly secured victory. This wasn’t just a brute-force win with a high-level pet, the championship of this division is well-earned."

While the audience debated, the second match had already begun, and both competitors had summoned their pets.
"She's using the Treasure-Seeking Demon again in the second round. Who do you think will win?" One student in navy blue school uniforms asked.
"Qiao Sang." A short-haired girl answered.
"I think it’ll be Wu Hengxu. His Bolt Spider makes it hard for opponents of the same level to get close." A bespectacled boy added.
Just then, a girl who had previously looked up the Treasure-Seeking Demon’s data on a pet identifier turned to ask, "Hu Le, what do you think?"
Hu Le shook her head.
"I don’t know."
The girl glanced at the banner Hu Le had been holding.
"Why aren’t you holding up your banner anymore?"
Hu Le was silent for a few seconds.
"My hands hurt."

The Bolt Spider, an Electric-type mid-tier pet, could spew out large amounts of electrified silk to form barriers. It could use this silk for both defense and attack.
On the battlefield, Qiao Sang observed the pet on the other side, a predominantly yellow creature with four eyes, eight legs, and a fluffy white tuft on its back. Information about it flashed through her mind.
"Qu!"
The referee’s whistle signaled the start of the match.
As usual, Little Treasure vanished from sight.
At the same time, the Bolt Spider opened its mouth, spitting out several strands of white, electricity-laced silk.
The silk crisscrossed over the battlefield, forming an all-encompassing web around and above the Bolt Spider.
Sparks crackled through the web, creating an intimidating deterrent.
Yet, the Treasure-Seeking Demon still hadn’t appeared…
Wu Hengxu felt uneasy.
Logically, with its Teleportation ability, the Treasure-Seeking Demon should have launched an attack the moment it vanished. Before the match, he had instructed the Bolt Spider to stay alert at all times, ready to switch from defense to offense in an instant.
Ideally, if the Treasure-Seeking Demon appeared within range, it would immediately be ensnared in lightning silk.
But now, the entire web was set up, and the Treasure-Seeking Demon was still nowhere to be seen.
This was not normal.
A wave of anxiety washed over Wu Hengxu. He had a bad feeling the Treasure-Seeking Demon was about to pull off something big.
Still, he reassured himself: At least the web is fully deployed. No way this match ends as quickly as the last one…
A strange silence hung over the battlefield.
"Bolt!"
The Bolt Spider’s four eyes darted warily around.
Suddenly, all the lightning webs lifted as if caught by an invisible force and came crashing down onto the Bolt Spider itself, coalescing into what looked like a glowing white thundercloud.
"Bolt!"
The Bolt Spider scurried across the web, but there was nowhere to run, it was surrounded by its own trap.
Within moments, the web had completely wrapped around the Bolt Spider like a cocoon.
Wu Hengxu looked up at the Treasure-Seeking Demon, now materializing midair, utterly bewildered.
Why did the lightning web lose control?
Wait! Its eyes… blue?
Could it be… Telekinesis?!
Of course! The Treasure-Seeking Demon had Psychic-type abilities, it must have a Telekinesis skill!
But was its Telekinesis really this strong? It actually managed to manipulate so many electrified threads?!
A flurry of thoughts raced through Wu Hengxu’s mind. He suddenly realized: Damn it, this Treasure-Seeking Demon had waited until the web was fully deployed before striking, just so it could ensure the Bolt Spider was completely entangled.
So… the Bolt Spider worked so hard… just to trap itself?
Wu Hengxu nearly spat blood at the realization.
Still, he comforted himself. At least it wasn’t bound by some other force, it was just its own web.
Suspended about half a meter above the ground, the Bolt Spider, now a silken cocoon, bared its fangs and tore a hole through its bindings.
Just as its head was about to break free, Qiao Sang sighed.
"Spin."
"Xuuuuun!"
Little Treasure let out a chirp. The cocoon, crackling with electricity, began to spin rapidly.
Wu Hengxu reacted instantly.
"Spit silk at the opening!"
If the Bolt Spider could attach a strand of silk to the ground, it could pull itself out!
Hearing its trainer’s command, the Bolt Spider fought through its dizziness and aimed for the opening.
But just then, Little Treasure’s eyes glowed an even brighter blue.
The spinning sped up.
If the initial speed was normal, this was now 8x speed.
Inside the cocoon, the Bolt Spider gagged. Its insides churned violently. Never mind spitting silk, it was too nauseous to even attempt it.
Seeing this, Wu Hengxu quickly issued another command.
"Bite through the web!"
For others, the lightning web was nearly indestructible, but the Bolt Spider could easily chew through its own silk. That was the only reason Wu Hengxu had remained confident earlier.
Inside the cocoon, the Bolt Spider steadied itself with sheer willpower.
It opened its eyes, resolve hardening. Just as it aimed for the webbing with its fangs...
Little Treasure’s eyes gleamed once more.
"BOLT!!!"
A miserable cry echoed across the battlefield.
To the audience, the cocoon had become nothing but a yellow-white blur.
If the previous speed was 8x, this was now 16x.
…Poor Bolt Spider…
The same thought surfaced in everyone’s minds.
No one knew how long it spun. Eventually, the Treasure-Seeking Demon’s blue glow faded, and the cocoon dropped to the ground, rolling twice before lying still.
"Xuun…"
Little Treasure wiped his paw across his forehead, despite the absence of sweat.
Spinning is so exhausting…
A referee pet hovered over, squinted at the cocoon, then blew its whistle.
"Quuuuu!"
