Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3635 - The Spawn of the Sea of Order, Overflow Fragments

Jin Lin felt utterly frustrated, but could only stew in his anger. He still harbored fantasies about one day sharing a romantic tale with his goddess. And that brat, clearly a mere servant, kept putting on airs as if he were someone important. How dare he flaunt in front of him? Jin Lin remained annoyed.

After being scolded by Zi Zhen, he pursed his lips and asked Tianming, "What kind of lifeform are you? A human, like the wonderians? Are you also from the Upper Star Ruin?"

"Human beastmaster and totemancer. Haven’t you seen a dual cultivator before? Also, I’m from the Lower Star Ruins," Tianming explained, deliberately testing Jin Lin to gauge how the Ancient Oldgod Domain, and even the Upper Star Ruin perceived dual cultivation.

The flameyellow divinities possessed top-tier dual bloodlines, and the Sun had even once belonged to the Upper Star Ruin. The Ancient Oldgod Domain seemed to have greater knowledge of the Upper Star Ruin than the Lower Star Ruins did.

"Beastmasters I understand, but totemancers? Isn’t that power passed down by peak cosmic gods through their cosmic phase? What’s so special about that kind of primitive ability?" Jin Lin looked disdainful. After sneering, he added, "And you’re from the Lower Star Ruins? I’ve heard that while that place is vast and boundless, it lacks high-level nova sources and is too far from the Sea of Order. It can’t produce cosmic gods without the ability to transform orders into planet class. It’s a land where inferior species reside. No wonder you’re so mediocre."

Explosive bangs rang out as Zi Zhen beat him up again, angrily scolding, "If you want to talk, then talk properly. Do you have to be so sarcastic?"

"Understood, Goddess!" Having been beaten into a swollen mess, Jin Lin could only wail and shed tears, feeling even more aggrieved.

Why was this happening? I’m a proud member of the aurumites, robust and strong. How am I inferior to this lowly human?

Tianming ignored him, lost in thought.

"In the mortal realm, legend says that totems are passed down by the old gods. Does that mean totems really are a combat system granted by peak cosmic gods?" Existences like the redlotus flaregod, blazing star immortal emperors, aurora nymphs, and others did indeed seem to confirm that theory.

But that isn’t right. Those are celestial being totems, so what about my decapath era godswords? Their existence surely transcends even peak cosmic gods, doesn’t it? Tianming felt puzzled.

Still, matters related to cultivation systems weren’t urgent, so he set them aside for now.

He suspected that the aurumites held specters and wonderians in high regard, while simultaneously fearing the orderlies. As for other human systems, like beastmasters or totemancers, they appeared to be regarded with disdain.

In the astralscape, particularly in Myriadpath Valley, beastmasters were considered the dominant system. Could the Upper Star Ruin truly have shifted to something different?

But even if it had, Tianming could adapt. When he’d first arrived on the Sun, totems had reigned supreme. Later, in Ebonia, infinite beastmasters dominated. If the Upper Star Ruin revered specters and wonderians, it would also make sense. After all, all cultivation systems had their unique points; which cultivation system would ultimately prove the strongest was still undecided.

"Back to the topic. Using Jin Lin and his aurumite race might be feasible. Or perhaps, it can be considered cooperation!" With this in mind, Tianming raised his eyebrows and flashed a harmless smile.

"Brother Jin Lin!" Tianming patted his shoulder.

"Insignificant—" Jin Lin was about to snap, but, seeing Zi Zhen, quickly restrained himself and begrudgingly dusted his shoulder where Tianming had just touched.

Tianming understood his thoughts. "Brother, your goddess is currently at a crucial stage of cultivation," Tianming said, raising his eyebrows.

"What’re you trying to say?" Jin Lin warily asked.

"It’s time for you to make a contribution to your goddess. Any order fragments on hand? Bring them out," Tianming said with a grin.

"I don’t have any!" Jin Lin recoiled in anger, glaring at Tianming with a fiery rage and wishing he could tear the 'insolent servant' to pieces.

"Do you or don’t you!" Zi Zhen coldly demanded.

Jin Lin was rendered speechless. But seeing Zi Zhen’s fierce gaze, he immediately caved, adopting a fawning tone. "Of course I do! But I was planning to present them to the goddess myself. This brat has no sense of propriety. What a petty and despicable man!"

"Enough with the nonsense. Hand them over," Zi Zhen ordered.

Before Tianming, Jin Lin had no hope of keeping anything for himself.

"Goddess, I offer you everything I have!"

Jin Lin extended his hand and presented an item from his spatial ring to Zi Zhen.

"Huh?" Tianming, Zi Zhen, and Moran were all stunned when they saw the object.

A grade-ten order fragment was an intricate structure of ten interlocking and rotating cards, but the item in Jin Lin’s hands was a vortex composed of countless tiny cards. It gently spun, resembling a miniature, portable version of the Sea of Order. Tianming could tell the object’s complexity and utility far exceeded that of a grade-ten order fragment.

"What’s that?" the three of them exclaimed in unison.

Seeing even the goddess astonished, Jin Lin grew smug. "This is the Ancient Oldgod Domain’s top specialty, unmatched across the entire universe! It’s the blessing bestowed upon us chosen ones by the Sea of Order. It’s the glory of our race! Clearly, our clan is the rightful heir of the universe—"

"Stop rambling!" Zi Zhen snapped.

"It’s called the spawn of the Sea of Order! As the name suggests, it’s something birthed by the Sea of Order. If it’s given enough time, it’ll split into numerous grade-ten order fragments, then ninth-level ones, and so on!" Jin Lin explained.

The spawn of the Sea of Order? Tianming understood now. Simply put, even grade-ten order fragments were fragments of this spawn of the Sea of Order.

"We’ve given it another name: an overflow fragment. Overflow fragments can accelerate the process of astral gods becoming cosmic gods! Our ancestors said that could be seen as a protective mechanism of the Sea of Order. By strengthening us, its guardians, we can prevent outsiders from invading and destroying the Sea of Order, right? That’s why we’re favored by the heavens!" Jin Lin boasted again.

Order fragments and overflow fragments! The Sea of Order strengthening its defenders to protect itself? The explanation was intriguing, but one thing was certain: such objects—especially overflow fragments—only existed in the Ancient Oldgod Domain.
