Chapter 1594: Behave!

—–

At the end, when Elayne tried doing the same thing she did with her spiritual clone with Katherine to rewrite Oberon’s contract and even evolve Katherine into a Divine Spirit or something, she was quickly greeted with a rather… angered Voice of the World.

It was as if whoever this voice truly was, got annoyed that Elayne was trying to “cheat” too much, and quickly gave her a stern reminder that nothing could be so easy.

[You are unable to create a new contract with a Spirit you’ve already contracted with using the [Sacred Spirit Queen Of Divine Beasts] Otherworldly Skill.]

[Please do not try this again, or you might receive backlash for attempting to overwrite the Contract of the Fairy King Oberon.]

“S-She sound really angry?! I’m so sorry World’s Voice! I’ll be better and not try to cheat…! Please forgive me! We’re friends right?”

As Elayne begged mentally, suddenly…

[…Behave.]

She heard a personal response and not something “automatized”!

“Eh?! Wait, can we talk directly?! Hello?”

However, there was no longer any response anymore… It seemed that as much as the Voice of the World was willing to say, a single word.

Behave!

It was as if she was reprimanding an unruly child… Something she didn’t quite like.

But technically, “Mother Earth” as she called her, was older than her, by a lot, so it wasn’t like she was wrong in reprimanding her this way.

If anything, Elayne felt bad and wanted Mother Earth to forgive her…

“Uh… It doesn’t work, sorry.” Elayne sighed, lowering her head. “Mother Earth said no. She even told me to behave like I was an unruly child.”

“Oh…” Katherine muttered. “W-Well, there’s nothing to do about it then, right master? And… Uh, Mother Earth? You mean the voice you hear inside your head?”

“You can’t hear her sometimes?” Elayne asked. “She’s called the Voice of the World, the World’s Voice, and I think she’s the voice of Mother Earth, the Divine Soul of our entire planet.”

“That’s… You’ve talked with the Supreme Mother Of Life?!” Katherine gasped. “W-What?! W-Wait…! Wait a second, master! That’s not normal at all!!! H-How are you…?! EEEEH?!”

“What’s wrong? Is it bad?” Elayne asked, growing worried. “Am I going to die?!”

“No! It’s not that it’s just… Usually, only… Only beings at the caliber of my King could ever do that!” Katherine said. “To think she specifically speaks to you, and so much, almost every day! W-What in the world are you, master?”

“…Eh? Is it odd? But I thought…” Elayne had never thought about it too much, because her friends also could sometimes hear her when she granted them new things or powers or whatever. “But… don’t you also hear her sometimes, Mark?”

Mark, who was looking at the conversations while drinking some wine, nodded.

“Yes, sometimes, not always… I think I only heard her thrice,” Mark explained. “But it’s Elayne the one that hears her all the time, and then she tell us what she said. We’ve been thinking she’s like a System from the other world but… maybe there’s something different about her.”

“Of course it is, master Mark!” Katherine cried. “She is a Primordial Being! T-The Soul… the Personification of the… the entire world! There is no greater honor than to hear her voice, even once! It is said that those that can hear her voice are destined to become powerful Gods that govern the world and the realms for eternity! And such prophecy has came true all the time…! My King heard her voice once when he was but a little Fae, and since then, his growth has only helped him reach this far, to the point of creating an entire Realm and governing as the Supreme God King of Fairies, Spirits, and more…”

“I-I see?!” Elayne asked, trying to make sense of the situation. “Okay, calm down Katherine! I know you’re surprised but there’s no real reason for you to overreact…”

“Ah! Yes… I’m sorry,” Katherine sighed. “Um, I’m very sorry…”

Elayne patted her head, sighing with a gentle smile.

“It’s alright… For now, we should get going to the tree while we rest in here, the way there is pretty long, so we can talk more if you want,” Elayne said.

“Sure, thank you, master,” Katherine nodded.

“Can you take on a spiritual form?” Elayne asked.

“Yes, it shouldn’t be impossible for me,” Katherine quickly turned ethereal, semi-transparent.

“Amazing, then let’s get going,” Elayne nodded, using her second body, her clone, and flying into the skies.

Both as spiritual beings, they flew far, far away, until Mark and everyone else enjoying the moon and the night weren’t able to see them anymore.

Before everything became a little mess, the original reason why Elayne and Katherine did all of this was to be able to quickly travel to the Dream Spirit Tree, which was glowing mysteriously under the night.

They didn’t really know what it could even do, but Katherine and Elayne had a “feeling” that it might give them a clue on how to move to Avalon.

Above all, Elayne wanted to create a Portal using her [Spirit Tree Checkpoint] Spell, a derivative Spell created using her Avatar’s Abilities capable of creating portals and moving from one place to another.

The plan was to place one of such portals there and then where they were, to help everyone easily teleport towards the tree without having to walk for days because they couldn’t easily fly with the giant, overpowered and very abundant bees everywhere.

“So how are things going?” Mark wondered, as he admired the moonlight. “Been an hour right?”

“Yeah, nothing worth noting,” said Elayne. “We’ve not been attacked though, so it is indeed safe when you’re just a spirit. The bees don’t even look at us, one of them even passed through our spiritual bodies without any problem.”

“Well, that’s a relief…” Mark yawned. “I think I’ll go to sleep, and you?”

“Me too, let’s go to our little cabin in the woods then~” Elayne nodded, walking to the cabin with Mark and resting over the comfortable bed she had brought along, one of the many purchases she did, preparing for the inevitable journey to another realm or something.

As she slept peacefully, Elayne’s mind was able to fully focus on her second body…
