Rose, one of the princesses of the Aquarius Kingdom and the daughter of the sister of the former Evil Queen, Anatasia, who had become evil after being possessed by a Fragment of the Deep One. Anastasia had killed her mother when she was controlled by the Deep One, and even though she had done such things, she was still given a second chance, while Rose had proclaimed her right to the throne, training to become the next queen.

Meanwhile, Sapphire, the Ancient Witch and the Wife of Aquarius, now known as the “Priestess of the Divine Sea Dragon Church” was actually completely unrelated to them, although they ultimately shared various things, and all became like a big family, she helped Anastasia rehabilitate, while also making sure she was paying for the atrocities she had done, working hard for the Kingdom below her supervision.

Rose, who had been orphanage after her mother’s death, lived her childhood as poor child in the streets, begging for money and food until Drake arrived in the island and everything changed from there on… with Coral by her side, Benladra and Kate helped her regain her strength, confidence, and fight back against the corrupt Kingdom that had been slowly turned into an oppressive regime by the Evil Queen.

After everything that happened, and once the Deep One, one of Oberon’s Soul Fragments that had grown so corrupted due to the unstable power of Chaos he had tried to assimilate, turning into a completely different being from Oberon altogether, was slain by Drake, things stabilized, and they began to rebuild the Kingdom.

Triton was also born, the son of Aquarius and Sapphire, and Rose started living as a princess, while the children of her orphanage were moved to the noble district, inside a brand-new building, a huge manor where the children could live more comfortably and in luxury with Rose and Coral.

Of course, things changed a week ago, their lives of both peace and harmony torn apart by things they couldn’t hope to stop or even change… the Queen Anastasia and the Priestess Sapphire, alongside Triton, tried to fight back against the invaders with everyone else, but they were ultimately defeated. Anastasia and Sapphire, the “goddesses” of this Kingdom who had ascended to Rank 8, and Triton, the young Divine Dragon, were captured, and the rest managed to escape, barely.

Rose, Coral, and also Eleanor, Anastasia’s daughter, had been taking refuge down here, alongside various other people they rescued.

“You’ve grown so much Rose!” Benladra said, happily hugging her friend after seeing her after so long. “You’re so big now!”

“Haha, you’re exaggerating, it hasn’t been that long… What is three years?” Rose laughed, as she looked indeed rather gorgeous, from her little self, she had grown into quite the looker. “You’re the ones that look gorgeous here! Didn’t you two aged way too quickly?”

“We kind of did, thanks to Dad’s divine realm!” Benladra said. “Right sis?”

“Yeah,” Kate nodded. “I’m glad to see you’re healthy, Rose… Ah, right, we also got a little brother now.”

“Little brother?!” Rose asked, looking at Drake’s family. “Oh, everyone’s here?! Welcome back! Ah, Lord Drake and everyone else…!”

“Hello Rose, I’m glad to see you’re healthy,” Benladann smiled.

“Hey!” Miranda winked at her. “Good to see you fine and healthy, mermaid princess~!”

“Hello Rose, I wonder if you remember me?” Ruby wondered. “I wish I could’ve been friendlier back then, I also… wanted to be friends, but I guess the age gap was big.”

“Ah yeah, of course I remember everyone, and hello Ruby!” said Rose. “Of course, I would love to be your friend… you seem strong? No, everyone is stronger now? Yuki, Pekora, Tisha… Ahh, how could we ever forget all of you, our dearest friends? You helped our Kingdom on its direst moment after all, you’re all heroes.”

“Well, thank you,” Pekora smiled gently. “We just did what we could…”

“When we moved to Muspelheim, we never imagined we would go through so much,” Yuki said. “To us it was another trip of the many we would have… to think so many things were waiting for us over there, what a mess we went through, huh? At least things ended… moderately fine? Though now there’s even more messes to fix.”

“Messes?” Rose wondered. “W-What happened? Ah! Right, so much has happened here too… Sorry, I just am processing so many things… please come inside! We’ve been trying to make the interior cozy for people, we got at least over sixty refugees here… a lot of people, half are sick and we’re doing our best to heal them…”

“Rose, where’s Eleanor?” Benladra wondered. “I was also looking forward to meeting her.”

“Ah, Eleanora is taking a nap right now, she worked really hard for the last few days, she had barely slept,” Rose sighed. “I’ll go fetch her, please stay here!”

Rose ran away to find Eleanor, while Drake looked around the interior of the temple, there was a lot of people here, most looked miserable, with barely any strength to even glance at them.

“We should start by feeding these people, they’re starving…” Drake sighed. “I remember cooking a lot of food for the orphans back then, let’s do the same again for everyone here now.”

“Oh, Lord Drake, you’re cooking for us?!” Coral was shocked, as he saw Drake summon countless divine utensils, moving them with just a thought of his mind, as food started being prepared, ingredients being processed, combined, cooked, and more. “A-Amazing, have you become even better at it?!”

“Hahah! Naturally,” nodded Drake with a confident smile. “This isn’t even a tenth of my true power as a Chef right now…”

The smell of delicious food filled the nostrils of everyone, stew, roasted fish, boiled rice, noodles, soup, and more spread throughout the temple, bringing back people’s appetite and energy.

It didn’t take long for Rose and Eleanor to come back, the sleepy black-haired mermaid girl looking around confused, her long hair resembling large black tentacles that carried her around.

“Hmm? What’s this smell, Rose?”

“It’s… food!”
