A shockwave shattered the ground as Katsuie Shibata emerged from within the black smoke, having grown thrice as big, muscular, and with his white skin having turned into deep black, his armor “regrew” now as insectoid black scarab armor over his entire body.

At the same time, he gained a long rhinoceros’ beetle horn over his forehead, fusing with his armor to resemble a new kabuto helmet, his spear also transformed, gaining a big red eye, glaring around as if it were alive.

“Face the power that my Lord Oda Nabunaga-sama has given to me!” He roared. “This is my truest strength! My full power! Face me barbarian- no! Drake!”

“Heh, good,” Drake smiled, noticing that Katsuie Shibata had grown several times stronger, it was perfect. “I’ll get serious too.”

His body transformed, as his draconian power intensified in his Dragonoid form, covering him completely with scales aside from his face and long hair. And Celestial quickly transformed, fusing with his other spirits and weapons.

Drake and Katsuie Shibata roared at one another, charging forward! The general’s spear clashed against Drake’s katana, as explosions of white flames, rainbow ice shards, and black flames erupted everywhere, the ground beneath them broke apart, shattered, and blew up into pieces.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Each one of the blows they exchanged was fully packed with immense force and power, destroying the entire environment around them, they quickly leaped into the skies, as the clouds exploded by the impact of their weapons.

And their immensely powerful techniques!

Drake once more unleashed this technique, this time while putting actual effort into it instead of just playing around, the eight snakes manifested instantly, of titanic size, rushing down towards his foe while he swung his katana, Muramasa.

Katsuie Shibata swung his spear to intercept them, his gigantic, hulking body moved at a speed that Drake didn’t expect, showing that despite his great volume and mass, he was as quick as before, if not even faster upon his transformation.

His body exploded with dark red light, as his muscles bulged even further, the giant scarab broke through the massive snake heads, pushing them away with his sheer might!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Each one of his spear attacks released an explosion of void and black flames, as he reached Drake within a split second!

It seemed this Divinity still had a long way to go before Drake could fully master it, but he knew it was strong.

It quickly manifested again, all eight heads, this time unleashing infernal flames, heavenly light, void, and chaos as Drake synchronized them with the swing of his katana.

Katsuie Shibata danced and evaded as many attacks as he could, as Drake finally intercepted them, in the skies, Muramasa shone the brightest, as Drake’s aura transformed into a white, blossoming lotus.

He knew this was it! He had to go all out, pierce through this technique, and behead his foe!

“{Kuukyo no kika: Geometry of Emptiness}”

Katsuie Shibata concentrated to his very limits, his eyes glowed bright red as his spear moved forward, several times in a row, above, below, to the left and right, and then to the center, creating a geometric shape that impacted Drake…

And overwhelmed him instantly!

CLAAASH! CLAAASH! CLAAASH! CLAAASH! CLAAASH!

“Ungh?!”

Drake vomited blood as the impact pierced all five parts of his body, while interconnecting into what seemed to be a pseudo domain made out of a weapon technique alone.

“GRAAAAAHHH!”

His naginata spun around, unleashing the power of this pseudo formation, as Drake felt like his body was about to be torn to shreds instantly, before a huge explosion engulfed him completely.

BOOOMMM!!!

“Haaa.. Haaa… Haaaa…”

Katsuie Shibata gasped for air, looking exhausted, covered with wounds despite his powerful transformation giving him great defenses, glaring back at where Drake was.

“That must have surely… torn him to shreds… my strongest technique, the pinnacle of all… You were a good opponent, Drake, but-“

“{Limitless Path: Heavenly Lotus}”

“?!”

Katsuie Shibata’s eyes widened, as Drake emerged amidst the black smoke, his aura having turned into a beautiful white lotus around his body, made of white flames, rainbow ice, and void…

Drake didn’t say a word after surviving that, although Katsuie Shibata noticed his entire body was bleeding, there were large wounds over his body.

Which were taking a while to regenerate…

“Wha…?!”

SLAAASH!

And then, Katsuie Shibata saw Drake appear behind him, sheathing his katana as his closed eyes opened, white and black flower petals flying by the wind, as Katsuie Shibata glanced back at Drake in disbelief.

He felt no pain, and yet, he saw his blood dripping from a massive wound that crossed his entire body, from his head down to his crotch.

“My Lord… Oda…! I’m… sorry…”

His eyes closed, as Katsuie Shibata’s body fell into two perfect halves, impacting the floor beneath and creating a massive crater.

BOOOM!

“It’s over… You were a good opponent,” Drake smiled at Katsuie Shibata’s corpse. “But even when we saw one another as rivals, I could never forget what you did to these people.”

Drake sighed, as his Aura expanded, transforming into dozens of draconic jaws biting and devouring Katsuie Shibata’s corpse, although he let go of his soul, which passed away peacefully despite all… perhaps as a way to respect him as a warrior.

“You did well on sparing his soul, my disciple. You must always respect a warrior.”

And the voice of Muramasa echoed through Drake’s mind, the katana floating by his side, although sheathed.

“Although I could have eaten it to get more information… Maybe I shouldn’t have done it.”

“Nonsense! You did well, you must always do what YOU feel is correct. And in that moment, you thought that sparing his soul was the way to do it, and I respect that.”

“Hmph, well thanks, master. Now tell me, just who are you?”

“Heh, already asking the important questions, eh my disciple?”
