Epic of Ice Dragon: Reborn As An Ice Dragon With A System
Chapter 2115 - 2115: Departing—–
Once we regrouped with the rest of the party in the cafeteria, we departed through the skies by riding over Fuyu’s flying ice castle form, and on the way there, we saw three more cities, they looked mostly empty, with people hiding underground in bunkers, I sent my slimes and draconic families down as we departed, leaving the rest of them and the Sergeant’s soldiers.
“Looks like the land is mostly normal from here!” Benladann said. “Thankfully.”
“Hmm, but I can still detect some spatial disturbances…” Miranda said, looking around.
FLUOSH!
While I admired the skies and moved towards where Amethyst was most likely, I noticed my ring suddenly turning into a spiritual being made of water.
It was Aegir, who had woken up from her slumber.
“Aaahh! I can feel it! One of my siblings…! My sister!” she said, filled with both excitement and surprise.
“Aegir?” I asked what was happening.
“Did you forget one of the reasons you’re traveling the world, Drake? We’re looking for my siblings! The Primordial Gods, whose Souls have been sealed inside the Orbs!” she said, flying from one place to another, she couldn’t keep quiet.
“Right, I didn’t forget, I was simply focused on other things,” I sighed.
“Hmph! Well, whatever the case, my sister is nearby… or perhaps a piece of her,” she said, squinting her eyes while flying high and inspecting her surroundings. “Hmmm…”
“Whom?” I asked.
“This presence must be Sister Jord, she was the Primordial Goddess of Earth, but also of the Sands of the End, her power governed over the earth that was in every single realm, but also her power was about bringing an end to all things,” Aegir said. “There seems to be two fragments of her scattered, opposite to two that we believed with Yggdrasil…”
“So that means we can find her more easily!” Yuki said, joining the conversation.
“I hope so… her fragment is… close to where you’re going?” Aegir wondered. “She might be close to the Dragon you’re looking for, Drake.”
“Amethyst?” I asked.
“Yes, her!” Aegir nodded. “Alright, Fuyu, let’s hurry!”
“Sure thing,” Fuyu’s voice echoed, her speed increasing to her maximum capacity, as we flew through the skies at an incredible speed.
FLAAASH!
As we moved through the skies, I felt the presence of a Earth Dragon growing closer, her presence was rather familiar as well, it was definitely her.
However, I also felt several living beings, smaller ones, into the distance, close to a mountain… when I looked there using my eyes, I was able to see a large city within the mountain’s interior, filled with Dwarves.
“There seems to be a Dwarven City nearby,” I said. “We could go check it out later if you want.”
“It must be one of the places Amethyst was protecting, right?” Benladann asked. “I remember you mentioning that she was training to more effectively protect these people from threats… but she was frustrated or something.”
“Yeah, no matter how much she trains, it seems she’s unable to breakthrough,” I said. “What’s worse, her mother grandma didn’t go into details, but she did say that she was growing stronger to avenge someone… and that she had a sworn enemy, someone we’ll get to know very soon too.”
“Huh…” Benladra rubbed her chin. “Who could that be? Oberon? I mean, Greenwood?”
“I don’t think it’s him, but he might be among her enemies,” I said. “I believe it could be… yeah, maybe that one.”
“That one?” Kate asked. “Who?”
“Well…”

The Dry Sea, a giant desert that was once part of the ocean, where one can encounter the bones and remains of ancient divine beings that once swam across the seas long ago. Although that would surely make such a place a wonderful touristic spot, it wasn’t all easy and beautiful as it was often described, this was a dangerous Desert within Svartalfheim, where even more dangerous Divine Monsters lived.
The corpses of the ancient oceanic monsters weren’t resting in peace, every night there would be a phenomenon triggered that was well known among the locals as “The Night Sea”, where these ancient corpses would rise up and swim in the sky, using the Night itself as their ocean, the spirits and souls of these ancient beings unable to pass away remained here, trying to attempt to go back to how their lives were once.
Filled with resentment, this desert had been known to be infected with underground, dried sediments of Miasma, which had made it possible for these events to happen, and it was said that every night, the monsters would become even stronger before going back to slumber once the strong sunlight of Svartalfheim emerged.
And every night, for the last year, a single dragon had been making a big ruckus, interrupting their mostly peaceful ritual of these ancient creatures, which also included occasionally going towards nearby villages and destroying them.
“ROOAAARRR!”
“SHYAAAGGH!”
“GROOOHHH!”
The screams of skeletal fish, shark mummies, and spectral octopuses echoed, all powerful Divine Undead Monsters of Rank 8 and above, shaking the desert by the dozens… however, they were the ones struggling, as sharp golden claws tore through their bodies, at the same time as glowing and colorful crystals pierced their souls and forcefully purified them, exorcizing them with bright holy light.
Indeed, their roars were mostly out of fear and agony as they died one by one, this certain dragon had been cleansing this entire area singlehandedly for the last year, having already defeated almost half of its millions of undead inhabitants.
“HAAAAHHH!”
She roared mightily, opening her jaws to unleash a powerful explosive breath of light, consuming hundreds of Undead at once, as several consecutive explosions reverberated, releasing light through deadly shockwaves, eliminating more and more Undead on the way.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“Come on! Come on! Is this all you’ve got?!”
She roared furiously, as more Undead emerged amidst the dunes, attacking her legs and arms, and trying to push her down into the sands to overwhelm her… however, to their surprise, she had a trump card regarding that.
