From MC’s Perspective:
Upon seeing Oldman Martin’s serious expression, I felt something was wrong.
“What happened?” I asked.
“Someone attacked a four-wheeler in the middle of the plaza,” Martin said.
Hearing that, I was shocked. He knew it was strictly forbidden to use magic spells inside the city. Then who could cause such a problem?
“Who has such guts?” I uttered.
Oldman Martin raised his eyebrows and said, “Our Mage Union is not without enemies.”
“What?” I blurted out in surprise.
Martin shook his head and said, “You are not an official member yet. Everything will become clear once you become one.”
“So you should go now. It’s not safe here,” Martin added.
Oldman’s words woke me up from my ignorance. There are still a lot of things I don’t know about the magic city.
“Alright, I’m leaving then. Don’t forget to watch the duel tomorrow,” I said to him before turning around to leave.
“I know!”
I heard his low tone from behind. I shook my head before exiting.
…
Meanwhile,
Susan Park, Jason Nicholson, and Wilfred Cox quickly reported to their families.
Though their lives were saved because of the magic artifacts, the impact force had hit them hard. They were now experiencing terrible pain all over their bodies. Susan didn’t forget to inform Manager Lara as well.
Manager Lara is a Magic Lord. She can arrive here faster. The crowd started to gather around them.
Fortunately, they had landed on the ground instead of crashing into the building.
Otherwise, the damage would have been greater.
Susan then deactivated her bracelet, which is a magic artifact.
Buzz!
The next second, the protective barrier was gone.
Argh!
A muffled grunt left her mouth as she tried to get up. A few people from the crowd helped her. Susan finally got back on her feet.
She then immediately thought of the others.
“Where are they?” she uttered.
Someone from the crowd pointed her in the right direction. She then started to walk slowly towards the spot. Some of them began taking pictures of her.
Because they recognized her magic robe, which belongs to the magic tower, someone dared to attack the people of the Silver Tower. The crowd was silent. They watched her go.
“Who could it be?” she asked in her heart.
She was shocked to the core. This had never happened before. Someone dared to attack her vehicle. She was sure the person behind the attack knew their identity.
Otherwise, why target them? She realized that someone was targeting the Silver Tower. There was no need for others to get involved if the attacker was hostile against one of their families.
On the other hand, Wilfred Cox and Jason Nicholson got up as well. They were alive thanks to the magic artifact they carried with them.
Wilfred Cox’s eyes were reddened. He was extremely angry at the people behind this. Just like Susan, he was thinking someone was targeting them.
He then ignored the crowd and started walking. He remembered seeing the other two shooting stars go in different directions. The closest one was near him.
So he walked towards the impact site. At the same time, he couldn’t help but think about the attack. He didn’t know whether the official members of the Silver Tower had done anything.
Since they were official members, they participated in the Mage Union’s work. He started thinking along that angle. He believed the official members must have offended someone or some people.
Otherwise, no one would dare to cause a scene in the middle of the city—especially an attack against the Silver Tower members. Wilfred Cox felt a chill run down his back.
He wanted to go home after seeing the two of them.
Meanwhile,
Manager Lara had arrived at the impact site of Jason Nicholson. Seeing him alright, she sighed in relief. Upon seeing her, the small crowd retreated.
They could feel the pressure of a being beyond a Supreme Wizard coming from afar. The people here were wizards and could tell the difference.
They didn’t want to offend someone above the Supreme.
“What about the others?” she asked.
Jason pointed in the direction after recalling where the others had been sent flying by the explosion.
Swoosh!
She grabbed his shoulder and disappeared from the spot.
Gasp!
The crowd took a sharp breath.
“This speed?”
“The woman is a Magic Lord. Let’s go,” someone from the crowd pointed out.
Hearing that, the crowd quickly dispersed.
On the other hand, Lara brought him closer to the next impact site. She then saw someone walking slowly in that direction.
When she saw his face, she immediately recognized him.
“Wilfred,” Jason uttered.
Swoosh!
The next moment, she appeared in front of him.
Wilfred Cox was taken aback.
“Manager Lara, you are here,” he uttered in relief.
“Let’s go and find Susan,” Lara nodded to him before saying.
Then the three of them moved towards the next spot.
A few seconds later,
They saw Susan Park coming towards them. Lara and the other two heaved a sigh of relief.
Swoosh!
Then they landed in front of her.
“Susan, how are you?” Lara asked.
Susan touched her bracelet before saying, “Thanks to the artifact, I’m alive.”
“Where is Vincent?” she asked.
Hearing that, the three of them reacted. If Vincent Carey had gone with them from the gated community, he would have suffered as well.
But they didn’t know whether he had a protective magic artifact or not. They had the artifacts given by their families; they were expensive.
“He left us to do something, so he was not caught in the attack,” Susan said.
“Have you guys informed your families?” Lara asked.
The three of them nodded their heads. Lara furrowed her eyebrows because she wanted to gather information from them.
Lord Charlotte would be wanting every detail from her.
“Okay, tell me what happened from the beginning since you left the tower. I want every minute detail,” she asked.
There was no one around in this area. People had already dispersed.
The three of them looked at each other. They knew Manager Lara would be reporting to the Forbidden Wizard later, so they had the responsibility to tell her everything.
