MMORPG: RISE OF THE PRIMORDIAL GODSMITH
Chapter 1359 - 1359: Throwing a CurveballPandemonium.
It did not take long for Valyr to come to such a conclusion in his mind, especially when Mystia in front of him had already spelled it out clearly for him.
Then again, under the context of the ongoing war with the elves and the orcs, what other possible action would a spy take if they were to become the host of a tournament filled with a race’s geniuses all of a sudden?
“…” The more Valyr thought about the question, the more dread and fear he felt as various other possibilities began to surface in his mind.
After all, from the start of the skirmish against the orcs until now, most of the fights making up the war happened near or at the frontlines.
Though there were some incidents related to the war that went past it, such as the ambush the orcs had done to the Akashic Battlefield he visited back then, the three races still formed a tacit agreement to move the battlefield away from their respective territories.
However, if the spy from the other races were to indeed infiltrate one of the upcoming Myriad Prodigies Tournaments and kill all of the geniuses that would be participating in it, then that meant that an unspoken rule among the three races would be broken there and then.
At that point, there would be no limits to the methods the three races would have in their arsenal when it came to fighting against each other, utilizing all the means available to them in order to gain an edge over the two other races.
Unfortunately, that also meant that many innocent beings not involved with the war would be dragged along its tides as collateral, especially if all three sides weren’t careful with how they handled the matter.
“Huu…” Letting out a long exhale as he briefly closed his eyes, Valyr recalled from his past life that there was a certain point in the war that caused all hell to break loose on all three sides.
Of course, with what Mystia told him, it seemed that he was now being given the choice to change history in that regard.
“So…” Taking another deep breath to calm down his emotions, the young man looked back at Mystia with a calm expression before asking, “I presume your aim is to have me participate in the tournament to keep an eye on the spy, Miss Mystia?”
“Exactly.” Mystia nodded with a faint smile, glad that Valyr easily caught on. “Although I and many other people would be working together on the outside to make sure nothing happens during this tournament, we still need a person on the inside to cooperate with us.”
“And that’s where you come in,” she continued. “As a participant of the tournament itself, you’d be able to obtain far more information on the alleged spy than we could with our means.”
“However, even though I say all this, it’s still up to you as to whether or not you’d accept such a request.” Mystia gave Valyr a slightly bitter smile after that. “After all, being our insider would put you at a massive risk, especially if the spy were to find out.”
“But naturally, if you accept, I’ll make sure your deeds won’t go unrewarded.”
Whoosh!
As those words left her mouth, she proceeded to conjure a spatial rift beside her, taking out a few sets of elixirs from it before placing them in front of the young man.
“In front of you are all of the items I’ve allowed the other winners of the tournament to choose from,” said Mystia, giving Valyr a slight smile. “I’m sure some of them you already recognize thanks to Valyr.”
At those words, the young man faintly nodded as he focused his attention on the various items she brought out.
‘A set of Basic and Intermediate Reinforcement Elixir, a True Rebirth Pill, and then what looks like three other sets of items.’
“What are the other three, if I might ask?” questioned Valyr after looking at them for a bit, pointing at the ones he didn’t recognize.
“One of them is an elixir I was only able to concoct thanks to your teacher’s help,” said Mystia as she explained, causing Valyr to briefly raise his eyebrow before widening his eyes in slight shock.
“Although the original elixir it’s based from is far more potent than this one, this elixir is still strong enough to catch the eyes of many people.”
“I call the Mystic Tincture.” Mystia smiled, the name of the elixir giving Valyr the feeling that consuming it might improve his Mystic Energy.
“As for the sets of pills beside it, those would be what I call the Mystic Infusion Pills.” As those words left her mouth, Valyr’s eyes widened once more as he recalled she was still in the process of improving it the last time she talked about it.
“Although you can only consume 5 of them every 3 months or so, each pill gives around 100 points each.” Noticing the shock on Valyr’s face, Mystia slightly grinned.
“Of course, if you were to become part of the Mystic Plane now, then I’ll make sure that your Mystic Energy wouldn’t just go up by a mere 500 points.”
Hearing those words, Valyr could only wryly smile in response, recalling that their earlier topic involved something about the Mystic Plane.
However, with how it had been tossed aside with talks about the war and spies possibly appearing in an upcoming tournament, the young man thought Mystia had forgotten about it as time went on.
With him telling her that he planned on talking about becoming a part of the Mystic Plane at a later time, the latter was left with no choice but to proceed with the final set of items.
“Now the last item I’ve yet to introduce to you is something quite special,” said Mystia with a smile. “As you can see, the items making up the third set are what you would call raw alchemical materials.”
“However, make no mistake. The only reason why the third item isn’t a finished product like the other two is due to the fact that the elixir made with those items could only be consumed by the one who concocted it.”
“…Might I ask what kind of elixir would that be, Miss Mystia?” asked Valyr, his interest highly piqued.
“It’s possibly the most miraculous elixir I’ve ever created in my journey as an alchemist thus far,” replied Mystia.
“I call it… the Nascent Rebirth Elixir.”
