“Huu…” After taking a bit of time to recover from the shock he felt, Valyr took in a deep breath as he went through Malutar’s messages once again.

Then, with a calm expression, he sent back a response to the man. “How many people can I bring with me?”

With the young man’s words acting as confirmation that he’d be participating in the raid, Malutar swiftly replied back to his question, his way of writing now showing the relief he felt.

“40 people.”

“In total, five guilds will be working together to complete this raid thing,” wrote Malutar. “Aside from the guild my friend and I are a part of, as well as your Azure Coalition, we’ve also invited those from Lighthouse, Soaring Skies, and Krakatatakark.”

“Gotcha.” Faintly nodding at those words, he and Malutar continued to talk a bit more about the specifics after that, such as where the leaders would meet up, when they’d hold a meeting over it, as well as the venue where the raid would be held.

After clearing up all of that, it was only then did Valyr close the screen he brought up.

Whoosh!

“What a surprise,” muttered the young man to himself as he hastily stored all of the equipment around him in his spatial bracelet.

Then, after giving Thomas and the other four a heads-up to head to their guild’s territory as soon as possible, Valyr went ahead and boosted his movement speed as much as possible, activating his movement skill as he made his way to the nearest town.

Swoosh!

“To think someone would already discover a world raid just a bit less than two weeks after Greater Beyond was released to the public,” said Valyr to himself, letting out a slight chuckle in the process.

“I wonder which low-level world raid Malutar gained access to?”

As one of the ways players had access to when they wanted to obtain strong equipment, world raids were considered by many to be the second best method for such a purpose, only losing behind difficult quests that had similarly strong rewards to make up for it.

However, in terms of availability between the two, world raids took a great lead in that regard, which made it a no-brainer choice for many if they wanted to obtain a lot of high-level equipment.

After all, the only requirements needed to enter a world raid was to have a key that would allow one access, as well as enough strength to clear the raid to the very end.

But of course, compared to dungeons and monster tides, world raids were still hard to come by, with keys only having a low chance of dropping from certain bosses.

Though, with world raids being a type of dungeon themselves, these keys could fortunately be grinded again and again from certain dungeons on the condition that they were set to their highest difficulty.

Because of that, the choice of choosing between clearing world raids or clearing dungeons over and over again for equipment ultimately became a matter of how much one would gain in respect to the effort put into it.

“Well, there’s not really much point in thinking about which raid we’re tackling for the meantime,” said Valyr to himself at the end of his train of thought.

“After all, I’ll be able to find that out soon enough.”

With those words lingering in his mind, the young man eventually arrived at the town he was planning to head to, hastily making use of its underground teleportation network to arrive at their guild’s territory within a matter of minutes.

“…It seems everyone in the guild has finally gathered.”

After arriving at his guild’s territory, Valyr asked everyone through the guild chat to convene at the guild hall as soon as possible.

Although some of them took a bit longer to arrive due to how far they were when the announcement was made, it only took an hour for everyone to appear in the guild, prompting Valyr to nod in satisfaction as he glanced at Thomas and the other three.

“You told us four earlier that you had something important to tell the guild,” said Thomas with a look of curiosity. “Is there an event that would need the entire guild to cooperate?”

“No, but it’s a bit similar to that.” Valyr faintly shook his head before shifting his gaze towards the other members of the guild.

“Everyone, our guild has been invited alongside four other guilds to participate in what’s called a world raid,” said the young man, making use of his mana to let his voice propagate further.

“To keep it simple, think of world raids as one-time dungeons with bigger party limits. Naturally, the rewards that come alongside clearing these raids are larger in exchange.”

“With that being said, I’ll be bringing 39 people along with me to participate in this world raid.” As these words left the young man’s mouth, almost everyone began to look at him with excitement and anticipation.

“Now, I’m not forcing anyone to join me. I’m sure some of you still have other tasks to do,” said Valyr. “However, if you would like to participate, please raise your hand.”

Whoosh!

Unsurprisingly, contrary to the young man’s expectations, everyone in the guild raised their hands after he said that, with Thomas and the other three being no exception.

Feeling slightly taken aback by how eager everyone in the guild wanted to participate in the world raid, Valyr soon remembered that this world raid was still something players were experiencing for the first time.

With that as his frame of thought, the young man inwardly began to pray to the heavens, hoping that the people before him wouldn’t regret their choices once the world raid began.

Deciding to take advantage of the eagerness everyone had towards a new thing, Valyr carefully selected the 39 people that would accompany him to the world raid, making sure that the people he chose were the best the Azure Coalition had to offer.

After all, they had to leave an impression to the other guilds, no?

Thus, with his team with Thomas and the other three acting as a framework, the young man swiftly chose the 35 that would make up the seven other teams from the guild, prompting him to nod in satisfaction by the time he was done choosing.
