“Why did you come to the Land of Whirlpools? Are you here to thank me specifically?” Shin asked Jiraiya.

He wondered what wind had blown Jiraiya here today. And he had come specifically to find Shin.

“Konoha is a mess right now. You’re asking Nawaki to clean it up for you? You’re quite the schemer.” Shin looked at Jiraiya calmly.

With Konoha in its current state, whoever became Hokage would be unlucky. How could one person solve so many problems?

Besides Danzō, who was obsessed with becoming Hokage, no one would be willing to take on this mess. They were just looking for someone to take the fall.

“Um, can you take me to see Nawaki? I’ll talk to him personally.” Jiraiya said with a wry smile.

“Karin, go tell Kushina and Tsunade I’ll be back soon,” Shin turned and said to Karin.

“Ah? You’re not taking me with you?” Karin’s face showed disappointment, then she shot Jiraiya a fierce glare.

Jiraiya was bewildered. He didn’t understand why she was so hostile. But he knew women were best avoided, so he said nothing…

“Let’s go.”

Shin opened a spatial gate with Yomotsu Hirasaka and stepped through.

Jiraiya looked at the black portal, hesitating. Was it safe to enter? But Shin had already entered. He couldn’t possibly harm him, could he? If Shin wanted to harm him, he wouldn’t need any tricks.

When Jiraiya passed through, Shin was already chatting with Nawaki.

“Who’s there?” Nawaki warily looked at Jiraiya emerging from the spatial gate. Seeing it wasn’t Tsunade, he breathed a sigh of relief.

“Thank goodness it’s not my sister.”

Nawaki was terrified of Tsunade. If she came, she’d definitely pester him about getting a girlfriend…

“I’ll be sure to tell Tsunade what you said. I wonder if she’ll make a special trip to see you,” Shin said with a faint smile.

“DON’T! Please don’t… My good brother-in-law, please don’t get me killed!” Nawaki pleaded with Shin in terror. If Tsunade heard he called her violent, she’d beat him up for sure.

“Alright, I won’t tell her. Now let go of my hand.”

Shin looked with disgust at Nawaki, who was clinging to his sleeve.

If it were a beautiful woman, Shin wouldn’t mind at all. But a burly man? Shin was utterly repulsed.
