Two days quickly passed.

Luca received the repaired Starseeker and Obsidian from Drumph.

“These are the specially expedited repairs from Morning Star. Due to the rushed process, there may be some issues with the equipment. If there are any problems, I’ll take them back for rework,” Drumph said frankly, acknowledging the possibility of flaws.

Luca smiled in response.

“I trust in Morning Star’s technology,” he said, as he carefully examined both weapons.

The repairs were flawless; the two weapons showed no signs of damage or imperfection.

Drumph let out a relieved breath. “I’m glad you’re satisfied. By the way, I need to inform you of one more thing. There will definitely be members from Morning Star involved in the operation four days from now.”

“No problem at all! In fact, I was hoping you could assist me,” Luca answered with a smile.

After chatting for a bit longer, they parted ways. Drumph returned to the Morning Star headquarters.

Morning Star had been extremely busy lately. Even Zovland, who had secretly been planning to create trouble for Luca, was forced to stay at the Morning Star headquarters dealing with various tasks.

Once Luca confirmed there was no one around his room, he quietly closed the door.

“I’ve got the weapons. We can move tonight,” he muttered to himself.

“My condition has improved a little, and I can help you locate the Perception Origin Holy Grail,” Sophia’s weak voice echoed in Luca’s mind.

Luca sighed.

He was deeply concerned about Sophia’s condition. However, with no way out, both he and Sophia had no choice but to press forward.

When night fell, Luca first set up a dummy in his room. Then, without anyone noticing, he climbed out of the window.

His residence was a tall building, and once outside, he was able to blend into the shadows, shielded by the building’s structure.

His actions were smooth and successful—so much so that even the Eastern Territory Morning Star members who had been watching him near the hotel’s entrance didn’t notice.

Minutes later, Luca reached the entrance of the passage. At this point, the entrance had already been blocked off by Morning Star, with a large number of security personnel patrolling the area.

“It seems Morning Star isn’t as incompetent as I thought,” Luca muttered, before activating the dark night magic runes embedded on his body.

Under the influence of the magic runes of the dark night, his figure became increasingly ethereal.

With the cover of the night and the dark night magic runes, Luca swiftly passed by the patrolling guards.

Unnoticed, he entered the passage.

The interior of the passage was also somewhat different from before.

Morning Star had deployed a large number of devices inside the passage to contain the chaotic energy.

This ensured that the chaotic power within the passage would not leak out, thus preventing the Imperial Capital from being attacked by monsters again.

After bypassing several sealed-off areas, Luca finally approached the fork in the road.

Just as the fork became visible to him, he suddenly sensed something behind him.

Luca stopped for a moment.

Frowning, he pretended to be thinking.

In reality, he was using his perception ability to investigate what was lurking behind him.

“What’s wrong? Why did you suddenly stop?” Sophia’s voice appeared in Luca’s mind.

“It seems someone is tailing us. We need to find an opportunity to take them out,” Luca quickly transmitted his thoughts to Sophia.

The two of them began to work together to locate the audacious follower.

Not far behind Luca, in the shadow of a corner, Major Andrew held his breath and hid.

Major Andrew was a member of Morning Star from the Eastern Territory.

His original mission was to ensure the safety of the core area of the Imperial Capital.

During the execution of his task, he accidentally discovered Luca’s trail.

Since Major Andrew possessed top-tier reconnaissance skills and his special class was that of a Night Walker, a tracker, he believed he could follow Luca unnoticed.

Before entering the passage, his plan seemed flawless.

His top-level reconnaissance abilities ensured he could always track Luca’s position.

Meanwhile, his special Night Walker class would allow him to remain undetected.

However, once inside the passage, Major Andrew ran into serious trouble.

The advantages brought by his Night Walker class could not be utilized inside the passage.

As he followed Luca deeper into the passage, the chances of him being exposed grew larger.

By the time he reached the fork in the road, the passive effect of his Night Walker class completely vanished.

Now, Major Andrew could only hide in the shadows to avoid detection by Luca’s perception.

Major Andrew and Luca were at a standstill.

Major Andrew didn’t dare to make any move, for any action on his part would expose him to Luca.

Luca was equally troubled. The fact that Andrew was not making any moves meant that he was being held up here.

As time passed, the likelihood of his actions being exposed grew higher and higher.

Nova’s room was very close to Luca’s, and if Nova found out that Luca had left his room without anyone knowing, Nova would definitely guess Luca’s plan.

Time ticked by.

A few minutes later, Luca finally decided to proceed with his actions.

“The energy here is even more chaotic than before, but I can still handle it!” he suddenly murmured aloud.

Although his voice was not loud, the passage was very quiet, so Major Andrew could hear it very clearly.

Major Andrew let out a breath of relief.

“So he hasn’t discovered my presence. He simply noticed that the passage was different from before.”

Though Major Andrew relaxed a little, he didn’t immediately take action. He waited until Luca began moving toward the left fork in the passage before he finally made his move.

At the left fork, he felt a powerful surge of chaotic energy.

He began to hesitate, wondering if he should enter the left passage.

After thinking for a moment, he gritted his teeth and decided to proceed down the left passage.

The moment he entered the passage, he heard the monstrous roar of a creature.

At the same time, he heard Luca’s cold voice from behind him.

“It’s really you who’s been tailing me! You’re Zovland’s lackey, aren’t you? I’ll make sure you get what’s coming to you!”

Major Andrew quickly turned around in shock.

He was stunned to see Luca standing exactly where he had been before, his eyes coldly staring at him.

“Was that just an illusion?!”

“That’s right! What you just saw was an illusion I created!”

Major Andrew finally understood everything, but it was already too late for him to react.

Monsters from the depths of the passage had already surged forward.

Major Andrew was forced to fight the monsters.

Luca, on the other hand, directly sealed off the left passage.

“At least you made some contribution at the end of your life. Dying in the battle with the monsters is more meaningful than dying by my hand,” Luca said coldly before leaving.

As Major Andrew fought, he begged for mercy.

“Please don’t leave! I haven’t harmed you! Please, save me!”

His desperate cries echoed at the fork in the road.

No one responded.

Aside from Luca, no one even heard him.

Major Andrew ultimately died in the battle against the monsters. His body was even completely devoured by them.

With the audacious follower dealt with, Luca could finally proceed into the right passage.

The moment he stepped into the passage, he felt the overwhelming surge of primal power.

At the same time, strange and maddening images suddenly appeared in his mind.

In these images, twisted, powerful gods loomed over unknown celestial bodies.

These gods seemed to be aware of Luca.

They opened countless eyes, existing in different worlds.

It felt as if they were able to see right through Luca.

A strange sensation quickly overtook Luca’s entire mind.

He stood frozen, gazing at the eerie and awe-inspiring gods with immense power.

All consciousness in his mind seemed to fade away, and maddening whispers echoed in his ears.

In the haze, he seemed to hear a familiar and indistinct voice.

This familiar voice grew louder and louder, until finally, he could make out what it was saying.

“Stay awake! Don’t lose yourself in the powerful primal power!”

Sophia’s anxious voice reached him.

Luca finally regained his clarity.

He quickly looked around, making sure there were no enemies, then let out a sigh of relief.

“Thank you! If you hadn’t woken me in time, I might have completely lost myself. I could have been turned into a slave by the Ancient Gods.”

Now fully awake, Luca realized that the twisted, powerful gods he had seen in the vision were indeed the Ancient Gods.

Though he was back to his senses, he still felt a lingering sense of dread.

He had greatly underestimated the power of the Ancient Gods.

“Don’t rush to move forward. You must make sure that your mind stays clear,” Sophia reminded Luca.

As a powerful mage, Sophia was well aware of the threat posed by primal power.

When primal power reaches a certain level, the Ancient Gods can break through the dimensional barriers and descend wherever that powerful primal force resides.

The Ancient Gods were incredibly powerful; they possessed abilities and forces that were nearly impossible to comprehend.

Once the true form of an Ancient God descends, a colossal disaster would undoubtedly follow.

Luca took a deep breath.

He decided to follow Sophia’s advice—he would calm himself down first, before continuing onward.
