Chapter 1344 Unexpected Guest part 3

'Prima Materia?' Kisuke was astounded but thinking about it again he thought that this was normal.

[Please don't think that this is normal.] Tiamat immediately refuted what was on his mind, [You qualify those with abilities beyond the rules of the world as 'Transcendants', however, out of all of those beings, which ones can use Prima Materia?

[Despite absorbing a part of me and my sister, Chaos was not even able to allude to its existence. Ophis and Great Red, while having their unique attributes that let them control a part of reality, also can't use this. I've also seen the man called Aizen and there's no doubt that he's strong. However, I don't think he's capable of sensing it, much less, manipulating it.

[Ichibei, your last adversary, wasn't able to see through your abilities. Maybe the Soul King and the King of Quincies may have it since the former was able to create expansive worlds to contain both the living and the dead and the latter was able to bestow unimaginable abilities to those who follow him. But as you can see, this is not the norm and doesn't dictate one's strength.]

Chimune, who attached herself to Kisuke, wondered why he suddenly became quiet and asked, [Are you perhaps talking to your sword?]

'Yes, so please be quiet.' Kisuke replied in his head while still contemplating what he should do next and what it meant for Chimune to make her presence known now, 'These guys...'

But from Chimune's perspective, he's only staying silent and correcting his perception, [Just so you know, I can't read your mind even if I wanted to. I can only do that to those I directly gave my blessings to after agreeing to it.]

"Yet you're here even though I didn't agree to anything." Kisuke finally spoke up.

[I can attach my consciousness to anyone who comes in contact with the ones I have blessed.]

"Then you must have a very intimate knowledge of the Draconic Deus' inner workings from Issei's perspective."

[Not as much as you think. I blessed Issei Hyoudou but I haven't met him directly so the reach of my power is very limited. At most for a few minutes.]

Kisuke sighed and found a good rock to sit on, "Then forgot about Issei... If you have someone properly blessed like Corvina Luxuex, then you must have extensively peeped on Stralit Luxuex."

[Peeped is a very strong word.] Chimune's voice felt offended, [I'm just carefully monitoring things through the eyes of my 'agents'... Albeit, secretly.]

"That's peeping..." Kisuke let out another exasperated sigh, "That would mean you're aware of her too."

Chimune became silent for a few moments before speaking, [You know about her too?] Her previous jovial voice has disappeared and was replaced by something close to robotic, an emotionless tone, [Now it all makes sense. I was already expecting that someone was supporting you and Yoruichi from behind considering how fast you were able to set your foot down in Etoulde territory, but I didn't expect it to be an Evie overlord... It would seem that we have a lot more traitors in our midst.]

Yoruichi also warned Kisuke about this. While using the resources that Seraselbes provided, she noticed that not all of it is Seraselbes' own resources but Evie's resources as a whole. It wasn't really a problem since they would be able to hide their connection with Seraselbes more easily, but this also opened the risk of the Evies detecting them.

Kisuke allowed Chimune to think and stayed quiet. He's trying to anticipate her next reaction to this new information, 'When I heard that she can attach her consciousness to those who have close contact with her blessed ones, I thought for sure that she already knew my connection with Seraselbes.'

[It looks like there's indeed a limit to how long she can attach. But that would mean that you also don't have much time with her.] Tiamat commented.

'That's true... And I also want to know why she didn't want Corvina to hear any of this. She could just simply ask her to leave to give us some private time.'

[It's not the ideal time yet, but I'll have to ask Corvina to go on the offensive... Anyway, shall we discuss how we can pull Restoras out of Draconic Deus?]

"I would love to, but I hope you'll satisfy a bit of my curiosity first. It's important and it will decide how I'll approach you and Seraselbes from now on."

Chimune's jovial tone reemerged, [We don't have much time, but go on.]

"Why did you decide to approach me now? From how you're handling things, I can see that you're trying to gauge me by letting me go through Corvina. What changed?"

[Two reasons.] Chimune cleared her throat, [The first is the way you infiltrated Corvina's [Shadow]... That power, what do you call it?]

"...Prima Materia." Kisuke hesitated for a bit but decided to answer her.

[Prima Materia, huh? Even though it's in your language, it's a good name from my perspective. I shall call it that henceforth.]

"You didn't have a name for it?"

[When only Melvazoa and I can use it, why bother?]

Kisuke furrowed his brow, "Only the two of you?"

[Yes. You're the third one and the most interesting out of us.]

"I wasn't expecting a compliment, but thank you."

[It wasn't a simple compliment. It's genuine intrigue coming from my side. After all, you're the only one not born with it. Melvazoa and I both tried our hardest to impart this technique but none was able to learn it. I thought that it was impossible... Until now, that is.] ṞᴀŊỐBÈŠ

Kisuke became silent. Him sensing the Prima Materia was just his luck completely assimilating with Tiamat, however, he could neither say nor explain that, "Are you going to kidnap me now?"

[I would if I could. But I figured I'd get more cooperating with you.]

Kisuke stood up and chuckled, "Thank you for your honesty. What about the second reason?"

[I noticed that you didn't like Corvina very much. I had to intervene before the bridge between us totally collapsed.]

"Blame that on your precious disciple. Although she didn't technically go back on her words, she still hurt Yoruichi. If it's just me, I would have returned the favor ten times over."

[Even though she's Stralit's mother?]

"Doesn't matter. I judge someone's character by their content, not who they are in relation with."

[I see. So this perspective is how you were able to adapt to Stralit's situation easily. I can't say it's rare, but you won't find anyone practicing it to this degree.]
