After that, Ruby was left inside a room where she went to do the written test after August gave her some time to study from the books. It was only twenty minutes, but she read quite a lot. Those that cultivate their bodies naturally gain super abilities, reading quickly is one of such normal abilities.

I think it has to do with the enhancement to our senses as our bodies become stronger, or something like that… Well, whatever the case, it’s pretty comfortable here. The guild master is a very welcoming man, and while Ruby did her test we got to know the receptionist.

"Oh my gosh I can’t believe we got a princess here!"

"She’s so cuteeee!"

"Aren’t they all cute?"

"I have never seen a half human and half demon before! You’re very unique!"

They were some dwarves, demons, and even a young elf girl, who was very nervous when she saw me and immediately kneeled.

"P-Princess Sylph! Your royal highness, it is an honor to see you!"

She had short pink hair and pointy ears and seemed to be a newbie.

"Ah please don’t do that, it’s fine to act casually with me, really… If it were up to me I would have kept my identity a secret…"

"B-But is that really fine?! You’re the granddaughter of our King! I’ve heard you have a very good relationship with His Majesty!"

"Yeah we’ve reconciled after our first meeting went a bit… hm, harder I guess."

As she finally calmed down, the other gossiping receptionist girls approached me.

"I’ve always wanted to know how the royal family is!"

"Have you visited the castle? How big is it?!"

"Can you tell us how handsome are the other princes?"

"I’ve heard the queen has an amazing fashion sense and is always wearing wonderful dresses! Can you tell me more about that?"

"A-Ah, well… Um."

They were getting too casual with me now; this is too much!

"Come on girls don’t bombard her with awkward questions," said August. "Don’t take advantage of her kindness. She might be kind but if another member of royalty sees you acting like this with her they might have a different reaction!"

"A-Ah!"

"I’m so sorry!"

"I really did ask a lot…"

"It’s fine, really," I shrugged. "Anyways I was wondering a few things regarding dungeons and missions here. Do you also hold missions with rewards too?"

"Why yes, we do!"

"Over there, there’s the huge task board, you can take any task offered by the guild itself or by clients that come here offering money for a task to get done."

"The more you complete, the more renown you’ll gain and eventually you can Rank Up your Adventurer Rank and earn more benefits! Amazing right?"

"Oh so it’s kind of the same as the others I’ve visited," I nodded. "Alright then… we could probably go for a swift dungeon delving adventure before lunch… How many dungeons are nearby?"

"Hmm…" August crossed his arms while thinking. "Like in the whole city? Or mountain? Well in the whole mountain there’s roughly… almost thirty dungeons in total. But there are a couple other dungeons in the nearby mountains. Especially the largest, meanest dungeon is the Red Dragon’s Tomb, which is full of dragon-type monsters. Usually, you’re not allowed to go there unless you’re A Rank or higher."

"The Red Dragon’s Tomb…" I said. "That’s where we want to go!"

"Yeah that’s where we’ll get my materials!" Ignatius made himself visible to the rest, scaring the receptionist and August.

"A Spirit?!" asked August.

"Hahaha! He’s Sylphy’s spirit!" said Celica. "He’s a dragon spirit so he needs dragon materials…"

"Yeah, pretty much, that’s the whole reason she wants to go there," said Celeste.

"To such a dangerous dungeon?!" August said. "But Princess Sylph, you should try to not go to dangerous places. You’re a princess of high royalty after all…"

"Hey! I’m also a Hero chosen by the damn gods, remember?" I asked. "I’m strong, don’t worry about me… But we aren’t planning on going there any time soon though. Later, when we get more free time. We’re currently training with Master Felicia the Witch of the Blue Mountain."

"S-So that’s what’s going on, you’ve become her apprentices?!" August was shocked. "Amazing! It has been a while since we’ve seen that old lady around."

"Old lady? She doesn’t look older than twenty…" said Celeste.

"But she’s very old no?" wondered Celica. "I think she’s older than this entire city."

"Yes, don’t let her young appearance deceive you, she is a cunning old granny…" sighed August. "She also likes asking for unreasonable tasks that nobody can complete, then she comes back complaining nobody has taken her requests when they’re so hard for the majority of adventurers…"

"Oh, yep that’s definitely how she is," I nodded.

"Hahah…" laughed August. "Anyways, there’s almost thirty dungeons in this mountain. The closest ones are the easiest dungeons, most of them not surpass Danger Level C. They’re the Dark Cave Dungeon, the Bat Nest Dungeon, the Goo Farm Dungeon, and the Blind Fish Dungeon. As their name suggests, they’re full of those types of monsters. The latter is also full of minerals growing everywhere, the fish monsters are inside small ponds and underground lakes. These dungeons are all open and don’t have instances. Though harder dungeons can create instances for each party, though those are dangerous by themselves. After all, instance dungeons will make it unable for you to get rescued if your party gets attacked. The only way to escape is using special Escape Spells or Items, or well, completing the dungeon by slaying the boss."

"Interesting, we once visited some Instance Dungeons at Eastgrain," I nodded. "Celeste and Celica lived there; do you remember visiting them?"

"Yes, I sometimes almost died," said Celeste. "But it was my only way to hunt monsters and earn money without getting assaulted by humans." Experience more content on empire

"O-Oh… I’m sorry to heart that…" said August.

"It’s fine," shrugged Celeste. "Been a long time since then anyways. So we’re visiting a dungeon?"

"Yeah let’s go!" said Celica.

"We have to wait for Ruby first, calm down," I said. "And- Oh, there she is!"

She walked downstairs with the paper in her hands.

"Guild master! I’m done," she called.

"Ah right! Let me see then."
