Stop Hypnotizing Me, Villainous Princess!
Chapter 91: A Date with Her Highness!Chapter 91: A Date with Her Highness!
Hearing Lynn’s abrupt words, Yveste, sitting at her desk, lifted her head.
She frowned.
“Are you tired of living?”
Lynn glanced at her and found her expression as cold and indifferent as ever, showing no signs of anything unusual.
That’s strange...
Given the situation, shouldn’t she be at least a little troubled by this sudden task?
Even if she wasn’t outright annoyed, she shouldn’t be acting as if nothing had happened.
Lynn couldn’t fathom the details of the task, but for something to stop her from returning to the Imperial Capital, it had to involve someone of immense authority—possibly even Saint Roland VI himself.
According to the Witch, the task would take quite some time. While the exact duration was unclear, knowing her personality, Yveste should at least be somewhat displeased by it.
Yet, at this moment, Lynn couldn’t detect any hint of that.
Could the Witch have been mistaken due to the passage of time?
Regardless, there was no turning back now.
Summoning his courage, Lynn rephrased his earlier statement:
“Your Highness, I’d like to invite you to spend some time with me tomorrow.”
Yveste froze for a second, then sneered coldly.
“Reason?”
“I want to give you a precious memory,” Lynn replied, his tone deliberately vague, using a montage-like approach.
After all, he’d noticed right away that the lie-detecting ring was on her finger.
Sure enough, Yveste glanced at the ring.
After confirming he wasn’t lying, a trace of surprise flickered in her eyes, though she quickly concealed it.
The atmosphere fell into silence.
As the one extending the invitation, Lynn looked away, avoiding her crimson, ruby-like gaze.
Yveste stared at him wordlessly, her thoughts unreadable.
Time ticked by.
Feeling the weight on his shoulders growing heavier, Lynn was even considering asking her to fulfill the promise she’d made earlier.
Just then, Yveste’s cool, melodious voice broke the silence.
“Alright.”
Hearing this, Lynn raised his head in disbelief.
...She actually agreed?
The next morning, as Lynn stood at the estate gates waiting for Yveste, his mind still replayed the events of the previous day.
He never expected that she would agree to his request without him even needing to use his wish.
Could it be… that she’s fallen for me?
It was entirely possible.
Lynn stroked his chin with a brooding look, lamenting his irresistible charm.
Just then, Greya, who had been watching the commotion, suddenly chimed in.
“You’ve been acting all smug since yesterday. Who are you going on a date with?”
“Could it be Miss Milanie? I’ve noticed you’ve been running over to her side a lot lately. Tsk, tsk, your taste sure is... unique.”
“Though, to be fair, if that girl cleaned herself up a bit, she’d be quite the beauty. But she’s just way too young to be appealing.”
Greya prattled on, clearly intrigued by the mystery surrounding Lynn’s date.
Unfortunately, Lynn remained tight-lipped, which only fueled Greya’s curiosity.
That’s why he was hanging around early in the morning, determined to catch a glimpse of this mystery woman.
“Tap, tap, tap...”
The crisp sound of footsteps made Greya’s heart skip a beat. He felt he was moments away from uncovering Lynn’s secret.
But when he turned around and saw the woman approaching, he froze in place, completely stunned.
“Y-Your Highness, good morning!”
Greya’s face turned pale, and his legs trembled like jelly.
Yveste glanced at him nonchalantly before shifting her gaze to Lynn. Her expression remained blank.
“I wasn’t aware that your idea of ‘spending time together’ included a third person.”
“I’ll leave right now!”
Before Lynn could say a word, Greya scrambled to his feet and fled, practically crawling in his haste.
At the same time, his opinion of Lynn skyrocketed to new heights.
Too ruthless!
The pinnacle of manhood, the apex of masculinity!
How else could one explain how Lynn, after just over half a month at the estate, had managed to win over the infamous Princess of Sin?
Clearly, Lynn wasn’t an ordinary man. He could accomplish what others could not.
But should he spread this gossip?
If he did, wouldn’t he almost certainly get himself killed?
His face turned pale as he considered the implications.
Watching Greya’s panicked retreat, Lynn chuckled silently to himself. Then, he turned to face the Princess before him.
He had expected Yveste to have dressed up for the occasion, but instead, she wore her usual black long dress paired with matching high heels. Her hair was tied back into a high ponytail that cascaded to her waist, giving her a clean and efficient appearance.
Thankfully, her natural beauty and the commanding, untouchable aura she exuded still managed to leave Lynn briefly stunned.
Noticing his expression, Yveste frowned.
“So, what exactly do you mean by this ‘date’?”
Snapping out of it, Lynn instinctively averted his gaze.
“Well... just walking around, enjoying the scenery, having a meal together, chatting...”
“Boring.” Yveste’s tone was flat.
Still, in the next moment, she began walking ahead on her own.
Lynn shook his head and quickly caught up with her.
“Uh, Your Highness, typically speaking, a date... um... involves holding hands.”
“Holding hands?” Yveste sneered coldly. “You’ve got quite the nerve.”
So it’s a no, huh?
Though slightly deflated, Lynn didn’t feel particularly discouraged.
But then, after a brief pause, Yveste slowly came to a stop.
“However... since I’ve already agreed, it doesn’t matter.”
“By the way, I dislike that phrasing,” she added.
As she spoke, she turned to face Lynn. A mischievous smile crept onto her lips as she stretched out her slender, porcelain-white hand toward him.
“Shake hands.”
Lynn took a deep breath, wondering why this woman always managed to rile him up with a single sentence.
Stay calm! This is all part of the plan to secure an early return to the capital!
After a fierce internal struggle (which in reality lasted about half a second), he obediently placed his hand in hers.
The moment he felt her smooth skin and the faintly cool touch, his heartbeat skipped inexplicably.
Something was off.
This woman was acting strangely today.
Their first stop was a high-end boutique specializing in women’s clothing and accessories.
“This is where you decided to bring me?”
Surrounded by an array of luxurious outfits, Yveste didn’t appear the least bit impressed. If anything, she seemed annoyed.
After all, any single item here costs as much as an average family’s lifetime earnings.
But for a princess accustomed to a life of privilege, it made sense that clothing designed for middle-tier nobles and affluent commoners held no appeal.
“Your Highness, dating is about doing ordinary things,” Lynn explained softly.
Yveste’s expression remained indifferent as she addressed the bewildered shop assistants around her.
“Bring out your most expensive dresses and shoes.”
The staff exchanged uneasy glances before dispersing under Lynn’s intense, wordless glare.
These two clearly weren’t people they could afford to offend.
Moments later, a variety of garments, hats, and shoes were neatly arranged before them.
Yveste gave the selection a cursory glance before fixing her gaze on Lynn.
“You, pick out the best-looking one,” she ordered.
Lynn froze for a second before obediently turning around to select an outfit based on his own aesthetic sense.
“You’re trying to embarrass me?” Yveste remarked coldly. “The clothes here are already unattractive, and you managed to pick the ugliest combination. Truly irritating.”
Looking down at the wide-brimmed sunhat, white wavy dress, and crystal heels adorned with tiny diamonds in his hands, Lynn fell silent.
Was his sense of style really that bad?
All he wanted was for the Princess, who always exuded a sharp, blade-like aura, to try a different look—something softer, like a pure and innocent vibe.
But instead, he got thoroughly ridiculed.
Just as he was debating whether to pick a new outfit, Yveste’s voice rang out again.
“Hand it over.”
Lynn looked up to find her expressionless gaze fixed on the crystal heels in his hands.
Realizing her intent, he quickly walked over and offered her the shoes with both hands.
To his surprise, Yveste frowned slightly, her tone icy.
“Do you think this Princess bends down to put on her own shoes?”
Lynn’s gaze involuntarily dropped to the slender, pale legs peeking out from beneath her skirt, and the black high heels that encased her delicate feet.
For a few seconds, he stood there, stunned.
Noticing the odd looks from the shop assistants around them, he took a deep breath and slowly bent down.
Stay calm.
This is all part of the plan.
