Chapter 1124 Council of High Worlds

The Astros Empire had been discovered by the Council of High Worlds. Now, it was suffering under the council's relentless attacks. They had already lost contact with several of the planets under their control.

Souta glanced at his title, [Ruler of the Sub World], and noticed that the stats it provided had decreased by a few percent. It seemed the Council of High Worlds had taken over those planets.

It was understandable. The council was a massive organization, especially compared to the Astros Empire, which didn't even have a single SSS-rank. From this alone, he could tell that only a small faction within the council had taken interest in the empire.

"I could use my status as a Hero-candidate to mediate and stop the fighting," Souta muttered. "But the current Athen's Champion isn't what it used to be."

Athena had yet to reveal herself, and no one knew her current whereabouts. Even Souta, who possessed knowledge from the game, was clueless. All he knew was that Athena would appear one month after the battle at the Acropolis of Athens.

"Well, even though Olympus is at war, the Council of High Worlds would still give me some face," Souta said with a shrug.

Alice looked up at the sky, her mind drifting back to everything that had happened while they were away from Imperium. So much had occurred, and they had grown stronger because of it.

A faint smile crossed her lips.

Souta noticed her expression. He shook his head and closed his eyes.

After a while, the three stood up from their seats. Souta made his way to the Division Commander's office to request permission to leave Olympus.

Inside the office, Cicero sat at his desk, looking at Souta with a haggard expression.

Souta could tell that Cicero hadn't fully recovered yet.

"You want to leave Olympus?" Cicero asked.

"Yes, there are some matters I need to settle," Souta replied.

"I see… Do you need help? I can spare a small amount of manpower, but don't expect too much—given the current state of Athen's Champion."

"I know. That's why I won't ask for anything. I just want permission to leave. Oh, and I'd like access to teleportation to one of our Goddess's sub-worlds. It'll help shorten my travel time."

"Sub-world? I see… So you're leaving Imperium. I don't recommend it—the environment outside is poor—but I won't stop you. You already know what you're doing, right?"

Souta nodded. "Yes. I won't tell anyone what happened in Olympus, and I'll make sure my people stay silent as well."

Olympus had closed its borders, so most people outside were unaware of what was going on.

"Alright then. I'll issue you a permit. When do you plan to depart?"

"Tomorrow. I want to get this done as soon as possible."

With that, Souta wrapped up his conversation with the Division Commander. He politely left the office and returned to inform Alice and Vashno that he had received permission to leave.

It was easy, given his status.

Besides, they were heading outside of Imperium—where the dangers couldn't even be compared to those within.

"Well, let's use some of the merits first," Souta said.

Souta, Alice, and Vashno exchanged their accumulated merits for resources that could enhance their strength—potions and fruits that boosted growth rate or increased raw power.

The matter with the Council of High Worlds remained unresolved. There was no guarantee that they would show Souta any respect, and there was a real possibility that a fight would break out. After all, there was history between them—and it wasn't a pleasant one.

A few hours later, the three emerged from their seclusion. They had used everything they acquired, and their strength had increased—if only by a small margin. But at their level, even a slight power-up was significant.

They didn't rest. Instead, they headed straight to the Hall Plains—they planned to bring the Guardian Fortress with them to teleport out of Imperium.

Before long, the group returned to Ekatoe City.

There was no commotion. Their return wasn't announced, and the people of the city were completely unaware that Souta had even left. They remained clueless.

At the City Lord's mansion, Souta noticed that Eztein had returned as well.

He sat down in his office and summoned everyone.

One by one, Franklin, Eztein, Torkez, and the others arrived and quietly took their seats, waiting for Souta to begin the meeting.

Souta looked at each of them, studying their expressions. His gaze finally settled on Torkez.

"I want to know," Souta began, "can the Guardian Fortress be used?"

"Yes, we've already repaired its main functions," Torkez replied.

"Good." Souta nodded. "Then I'll use it. I'm bringing some of you with me to return to the Astros Empire, outside of Imperium. Jamine contacted me—there's a problem involving the Council of High Worlds."

Isabella and the others who had been with Souta during that time raised their eyebrows. They remembered the past events and were understandably curious.

"Those people... I knew they'd come back to bite us," Franklin said with a grin, recalling his own run-in with the organization.

"The higher-ups in that group are greedy," Eztein added. "It's full of corruption."

Amanda glanced at Eztein. "You were with them before, right?"

"Well, technically, yes," Eztein said, shrugging his shoulders. "But I didn't know much about them. My position was too low to access any classified information."

"Tell us what you do know," Vashno said.

"Well, it's not much," Eztein began. "The Council of High Worlds is made up of different factions. The highest authority within the council are the Monarchs—the five Monarchs, as you know, are all God-rank beings."

He paused for a moment before continuing.

"I was an officer under the Cyan Group disguising as Union Peace. Back then, I was only at the Solidifying Realm, so I couldn't accurately gauge the group's strength. All I know is that Cyan is considered a second-rate group within the council."

Of course, being a second-rate group in such a powerful organization was already impressive. The Council of High Worlds was composed of numerous internal groups. Structurally, it was quite loose, given the countless worlds that were part of it.

"I'm not sure which group is attacking the Astros Empire," Eztein explained. "Even if it's mentioned, I can't say for certain. Maybe I know... maybe I don't."

Vashno and the others had only a vague understanding of the kind of organization the Council of High Worlds truly was.

Souta spoke up. "Then you'll come with me. Also—Franklin, Alice, Torkez, Isabella, Yuko, and Amanda. Prepare yourselves. All of you are coming with me to the Astros Empire."

He had made his decision. The others, like Gragas and Doranjan, would remain behind to guard the city.

He chose only those who were familiar with the Astros Empire or had prior experience with the Council of High Worlds.

Souta dismissed the meeting.

"Let's go."

With everything set, everyone he had mentioned began their preparations. Torkez focused on readying the Guardian Fortress, as it would be essential for their journey.

Early the next morning, they departed for the Champion's Den. Instead of entering the city, they kept the Guardian Fortress hovering high above it. Division Commander Cicero was already prepared; he simply guided them out of the Imperium and activated a teleportation spell to send them on their way.

Ohm!

Everything proceeded smoothly, without any issues.

They arrived in one of the worlds under the rule of Goddess Athena.

...

The war in Olympus was reaching its climax. The various Legions of the Gods were fighting with full force against the combined might of the titans and giants.

Battles raged everywhere.

Gods had fallen, and mortals followed suit.

With this chaos came new opportunities—but the risks were immense.

The death toll was staggering.

It wasn't only the Land of Eternal Spring that suffered; even the other territories of the Gods had sustained great damage from the countless battles.

Ares joined forces with Demeter to slay one Giant God and two Titan Gods. The enemy gods from their respective territories had fallen, leaving only mortals, titans, and giants behind.

News of the event quickly spread, and the morale of the warriors surged. The God Legions of Ares and Demeter began preparing to completely purge the enemies from their lands.

Meanwhile, Arvidal's group had grown, now numbering over twenty thousand titans—and it continued to increase. His followers traveled from city to city, preaching the possibility of coexistence with other races. They actively assisted various nations in fending off attacks from rogue titans and giants.

The higher-ups placed great expectations on Arvidal's movement, believing it to be one of the keys to ending the war.

As for the Gluttony Army, they had completely vanished. Since the battle at the Acropolis of Athens, they hadn't shown themselves again.

The Ruler of Gluttony had participated in multiple battles within a short span of time. With his overwhelming power, he brought devastation wherever he went.

He was a walking disaster.
