The Invincible Full-Moon System
Chapter 1387: A Deal with the Demon Queen (2)In order to enter the Spirit Realm without being crippled by the atmosphere in there, Rex had to strengthen his soul. He tried adapting to the atmosphere but the process would take time, something that he didn't have.
Recalling that Succubi's souls are robust, he thought of asking Elder Tilrith for help.
Atop of being the Demon Queen, she's also the Sin of Lust's wielder as well as a Succubus.
If anyone knew about strengthening the soul, it should be her.
Of course, this was not a spontaneous decision, Rex thought about this deeply.
He even consulted with the System to see if there were other alternatives but because of the time constraint, most options, were eliminated. Soul strengthening—is not an easy process, it requires willpower and time—it can't be rushed.
Because of that, Rex could only turn to Elder Tilrith's help.
Other than her, he could ask the Shapeshifters but that wasn't an option.
Rex has met Elder Tilirth on multiple occasions, and he also conversed with her the most—as she even came to his coronation. In a sense, he knew her well so there's no reason for him to take additional risks by going to strike a deal with the Shapeshifters, with Elder Enima.
He wouldn't know what to expect from Elder Enima. However, he now seriously considering going to the Shapeshifters instead.
"Do you forget who you are talking to...?" Rex asked, his voice laced with threats and anger.
Despite expecting a pricy demand, this was way beyond his limitations.
Asking for his child when it wasn't even born was diabolical.
Since Elder Tilrith was there during the night of the coronation banquet—she was one of the few who knew about Calidora's pregnancy. And she didn't hesitate to use that card blatantly against Rex.
Hearing anger inside his voice, Elder Tilrith let out a sharp, derisive laugh.
She then glanced at Rex with contempt, "It's only a child, you can make a replacement"
Rex was fuming inside, the child wasn't planned but it was still his, and the disrespect—from Elder Tilrith was testing his patience. But instead of showcasing his anger, he exhaled lightly from his nose, suppressing his anger.
Don't be lured, stay calm—being angry is exactly what he wanted.
At this moment, the Clarentium Empire and the Demon Kingdom were in a cold war.
None of the sides wanted to turn the cold war into war.
Because of that, both sides need to be reasonable.
Finding an opportunity landing on her lap, Elder Tilrith was going to milk it dry.
She couldn't ask for unreasonable requests but if she could somehow make Rex angry which a Werewolf like him was prone to do—and force him to do—something offensive, Elder Tilrith could use that as a reason to heighten her demands. 𐍂αƝȱBЁṨ
For those in power like her, a political meeting like this has always been a game.
But fortunately, Rex saw through it and kept his composure.
Instead of answering Elder Tilrith directly, Rex turned towards the battle.
He remained silent for a second, gathering his thoughts until he was finally ready to talk.
"I have no doubts with the change of the world, you've gotten stronger too," Rex said, eyeing Elder Tilrith as albeit she was hiding her aura—he could tell that she was a lot stronger. "I am positive you could even pose a challenge for me but I wonder, do the other Archdemons also experience the same boost?"
Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith turned towards him as a frown bloomed on her face.
"What do you mean by that...?" She asked raspingly.
Rex shrugged his shoulders, composed, and relaxed, "It would be quite unfortunate if as your ancient battle against the Angels reached the boiling point, someone would use that moment to pay a visit to your Demon Kingdom without you being there"
"Because as someone alike, I would be infuriated if that happened," He added.
Elder Tilrith cracked a smile, the corner of her lips stretched ear-to-ear—seemingly enjoying this political banter. It was obvious to her, what the underlying message was. Having to fight the Angels directly, the Demon Kingdom would be exposed without her.
And if she displeased Rex now, she would need to watch her behind all the time.
Or else, her kingdom would be attacked while she was away.
"Don't threaten me," Elder Tilrith chuckled—and crossed her arms gracefully, she then tilted her head toward Rex, in a confident manner. Her demonic fangs poked out, from her mouth, "someone who is in a hurry doesn't have the power here. I will not budge from my offer"
Rex was shocked inside but he remained stoic outside.
It was his counteroffer earlier, it basically told Elder Tilrth that he was in a hurry.
Just then, Rex recalled something as the turmoil inside vanished.
"I suggest you reconsider," Rex said before glancing at the crawling figure to their right, it was Mavenna who was paling, and struggling to reach them. "a Rosadonna Succubus will unlock her abilities once she has a master. I'm sure you don't want to lose that privilege"
Elder Tilrith froze for a moment, she was so shocked to hear that.
Despite her impenetrable mask, the fact that Rex knew about this melted her mask.
Even if it was only for a fraction of a second, it was clear that Elder Tilrith cared.
She reacted strongly... What is her relationship with Mavenna, really?
Under that pressure, Elder Tilrith paused for a second until she finally yielded.
"Okay, you win, Royal Black Prince," She surrendered, averting her gaze away from Rex's. "As opposed to having your child, as insurance, I'll instead give your child—a Demon Seal. It's not something harmful, you don't have to worry"
"A Demon Seal...?" Rex raised an eyebrow questioningly.
Elder Tilrith nodded, "It's a seal that once your child reaches seven, it would be teleported to me. I will have the right to your son for two years. I will not cause harm or long-lasting effect, but will give it training instead"
Rex couldn't hide his frown, it seemed he couldn't dissuade Elder Tilrith away from his child.
He didn't know why she was doing this but it was definitely not good.
System, is there such a thing as a Demon Seal that she described?
<Notice: Yes, there is. It's mostly used in a transactional contract between royalties>
"Do we have a deal or not?" Elder Tilrith pressured further. "Besides, I will lift the Demon Seal as soon as you bring me, the Maw of Oblivion, so you've nothing to worry about. Or... are you perhaps planning on not fulfilling your side from the start?"
Despite his reluctance, Rex could only grit his teeth and accept the deal.
He stretched out his hand for a handshake.
Seeing this, Elder Tilrith pivoted toward him and accepted the handshake.
Meanwhile, Mavenna was finally able to reach them, she needed to crawl on the ground as the deprivation of hunger assaulted her senses hard, from being separated from her collar, she felt like dying along the way.
Once she reached Rex and Elder Tilrith, she saw her collar lying nearby.
Driven by survival instinct, she made the couple more crawls, grabbed the collar, and wore it.
Almost instantly, the deprivation disappeared like thin air.
Mavenna lay on the ground and panted heavily, her wings were beginning to flare again, as earlier, they were folded and weak like withered flowers. She lay on the ground without the care of the world, she didn't care what Rex and Elder Tilrith were doing or talking about.
She only cared about basking in the sensation of not being deprived.
Crack!!
"Waah~!" Mavenna yelped when an ear-shattering crack destroyed her peace.
Instinctively, she tried to stand up but was stunned when she saw the ground was cracking.
Mavenna looked around and saw the ridge was falling apart. Stay updated via empire
Pivoting towards the cause of this sudden crack, Mavenna saw Rex and Elder Tilrith ahead.
Both of them were making a handshake and the handshake started as cordial but the tension quickly overtook. In an instant, their grips tightened, veins bulging, as their auras clashed in a storm of power skyward.
Forced smiles masked the struggle, each vying to outmatch the other with robust strength.
"I'll take care of Mavenna real good, I assure you..." Rex whispered.
Crack!
A burst of kingly energy erupted from his body—colliding with Elder Tilrith's aura in a violent, thunderous clash. Following that, the force carved a jagged fissure through the earth behind her, splitting the ground and sending chunks of the ridge crumbling.
Elder Tilrith also responded with the same spirit, "Say hello to Princess Calidora for me..."
Boom!
In return, her hell-void energy burst like fire, shattering the ground behind Rex into pieces.
Under their strength, the ridge collapsed, and the two slid down while still handshaking.
The clash between Rex and Elder Tilrith was far more devastating than the chaos unfolding ahead. To an onlooker, their confrontation, might seem like the aftermath of an even bigger battle—not the result of a mere handshake.
"Just what is going on?!" Mavenna cried as she fell back down from the ridge's collapse.
She hasn't recovered from the exhaustion and now the ground collapsed.
Once the ridge was completely wiped out from the map—and the dust began to settle, both Rex and Elder Tilrith finally retracted their hands. Instead of pulling away—Elder Tilrith came closer and threw her arms over Rex's shoulders.
A daunting smile played on her lips as she leaned her face closer to Rex's.
"The intensity of that struggle... it started a spark in me" She uttered, her breath was already so hot—enough to turn a normal person to ash. "one that's traveling south fast. My essences are boiling... I'm very horny because of you—you know that?"
"I know," Rex smirked. "but that's the responsibility of your underlings"
Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith chuckled, her wings twitched excitedly.
"A kiss wouldn't hurt, right?" She asked softly. "To seal our deal"
"What about the handshake?" He raised an eyebrow, looking directly at her smoldering eyes.
Elder Tilrith was entranced, her desperate eyes did not leave Rex's lips at all, "A handshake is a Human's way, but I heed you anyway. Now, it's time for a Demon's way—and to do that was through a kiss"
Despite her gradual approach, Rex remained upright and unmoving, "You're making things,"
"Shut up and let me do this or I'll not help you," She said and leaned in for a kiss.
Tcup!
As expected for thousands of years old Succubus, she was an expert, ravenous to anything that is considered pleasure of the flesh. Once her lips connected, with his—a burst of flavor exploded, it was surreal.
Albeit reluctant, Rex couldn't lie—she was extremely good at kissing.
It was the best one yet.
However, that sensation was short-lived as Elder Tilrith departed.
Not willingly but Mavenna pushed her away.
"Crazy old hag!" She cursed, pointing at Elder Tilrith's face. "Keep your hands to yourself!"
Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith only chuckled humorously in response.
Ignoring the angry Mavenna, she turned towards Rex, "As expected, you're delicious"
Rex gulped harshly despite keeping a composed look, it was hard to make eye contact with Elder Tilrith now, as he leaned a little forward, once her lips were pulled away. And from the look on her face, she realized that.
It took a moment for him to collect himself.
On the other hand, Mavenna hit Elder Tilrith multiple times almost like a sisterhood quarrel.
Seeing this, Rex begins to be more curious as to what their relationship is.
Moments later, Rex was able to pull Mavenna away.
She stood behind Rex, baring her fangs at Elder Tilrith—still somehow angry.
"Here," Elder Tilrith summoned a purple medallion with a demonic crest. "Give it to her"
Rex took the medallion, it was the Demon Seal.
He put it away in the inventory and commanded the banished clone to give it to Calidora.
But as they were about to depart, their bodies froze.
Kaboom!
A loud explosion resounded from the distance, it came from the battle.
Rex turned in that direction before Elder Tilrith suddenly said, "Hear me, Royal Black Prince..."
"Hmm?" Rex tilted his head in puzzlement.
Elder Tilrith's expression turned serious once again as she looked at Rex, "I don't want you or any of your forces to meddle with our fight with the Angels. No matter what—we Demons will be the ones to take them down"
Upon hearing this, Rex frowned.
He could tell that Elder Tilrith was really serious about this.
I don't know if I could stay away, so I can't make that promise.
Rex thought inwardly but gave a nod to Elder Tilrith regardless.
