WITH MY SYSTEM, I CAN EVEN TAME GODS

Chapter 1045 - 1045: Is that enough?

The client didn’t seem to care about the struggles that Lin Fan and the rest of his group showed.

It seemed that the only thing that was on his mind was reaching his destination as soon as possible.

He didn’t care that it seemed to be hard for Lin Fan’s group to move the carriage filled with the goods that he needed.

After all, this wasn’t a place that was that easy for this carriage to move in.

After getting Lin Fan to agree to move the goods, the client had led them out of the city that they had just arrived in. The client didn’t even take the roads that led out of the city for long.

He only remained on the main roads for a bit before suddenly crossing into the forest by the side of the roads.

Even though this place was just full of trees and there was no road, he didn’t seem to care that they had to push the carriage around the trees and through this ground that was very uneven.

It seemed that he only cared about himself.

Though this was to be expected with the way that he told them to transport the goods as well.

From the beginning, the client wasn’t someone that cared about anyone but himself.

So they had no choice but to keep pushing this carriage along. They even had to get rid of the horses and pull the carriage themselves since the horses would just drag the carriage into a place that would make it impossible to move it again.

Though if they showed their true power, it would be very easy to move this carriage.

However, it wasn’t as if they could actually do that.

It was at that time that Lin Fan came to a decision.

If this person wasn’t who he thought he was and it turned out that he was just wasting their time, he wouldn’t hold back anymore.

Even if he wanted to teach Xiao Ming a lesson, that didn’t mean that he had to take it from this person.

It was clear that this wasn’t one of those good people that should be spared.

There was always next time.

Without even realizing, Lin Fan had also been influenced by this world to a certain extent. Though he had changed…adapted because he needed to survive in this world.

There was still a part of him that was the same as before.

With them moving the carriage through the forest, it took a while before they finally reached their destination.

But there was nothing here.

It was only because the client suddenly stopped that Lin Fan and the others stopped as well.

This place was a clearing that was in the middle of the forest.

Though it didn’t seem like this place was natural clearing with the way that it appeared right in the center of this forest. With the way that the trees just suddenly stopped, it seemed that this place was made by humans.

“Where is this?” Lin Fan asked the client, though in his eyes…

The client just didn’t care at all about the question that Lin Fan asked him as he started looking around as if he was looking for something.

In the end, it seemed that he didn’t find what he was looking for, but it seemed that he was satisfied with the fact that he didn’t find anything.

Once he was done looking around, the client suddenly said, “Open the door for me.”

There was a moment of silence that followed after he said this, but then there was this sound that came from the ground. It was the sound of things made of metal grinding against each other.

The others didn’t know what it was, but Lin Fan knew.

It was the sound of gears turning.

It didn’t take long before a line appeared in the ground, but that line didn’t remain as one side of the line suddenly started to rise. As it continued to rise, it was revealed that this part that was rising was actually some kind of door.

It seemed to be some kind of trap door that was built into the ground and it was being lifted up by something under the ground.

Under the layer of dirt and grass that was atop the trap door, there was a layer of metal that was the thing that was being lifted.

Under that layer of metal was an open space, but there was a set of stairs that were there as well.

When the door fully opened, the client turned around and said to us, “Bring the goods down.”

It didn’t seem like he cared at all that we had surprised looks on our faces.

It seemed that he only cared about his own time.

When Lin Fan heard this, he revealed a bitter smile before saying, “How are we supposed to bring everything down like this? There’s no telling how deep these stairs go and we have to carry all those heavy boxes down? This isn’t what we signed up for.”

The client narrowed his eyes to look at Lin Fan, but eventually he turned around and said out loud, “Make it a ramp.”

A minute after he said this, there was another sound that came from the stairs in front of them. It didn’t take long for the steps of the stairs to recede and become a ramp that led all the way down.

“Now bring it down.” He said after turning back to look at Lin Fan’s group.

He didn’t even seem to care if they heard him or not as he started going down the ramp himself. However, he didn’t actually go down the actual ramp that had formed, he went down the remaining part of it that was still a set of stairs.

It was a small set of stairs that was only made for a single person on the right hand side.

Seeing this, Lin Fan had no choice but to have his people bring the carriage down.

However, this was a straight slope down. Even if the carriage could go down because there was now a ramp, they actually had to hold the carriage up so that it wouldn’t go crashing down.

In a way, this actually made it harder than just lifting the cargo down.

In the end, Lin Fan’s group was able to bring the carriage down, but they looked exhausted by the end of it. Or at least they pretended like they were exhausted from doing this.

Normal people, even if they were cultivators, would find it hard to do something like this. They would certainly be exhausted by the end of it, so they had to pretend to be exhausted.

When in reality, they were able to easily bring this carriage down since they all used a bit of their cultivation. For these people who were considered decently leveled cultivators, it was easy to bring this carriage down.

The client didn’t seem to care that they were exhausted as he brought several more people over with him.

None of them paid any attention to Lin Fan’s group as they started unloading the carriage.

It was as if the only thing that mattered to them was the goods that were in the carriage.

Lin Fan narrowed his eyes to look at the client, but he didn’t say anything as they brought the goods out of the carriage. They just went away with the goods down one of the hallways in this main hall.

They never said a single word to Lin Fan’s group.

When they were done, that was when Lin Fan said, “You’ve gotten your goods, now it’s time to pay.”

The client turned to look at Lin Fan when he heard this before suddenly revealing a smile.

This was the first time that the client had revealed a smile this entire time, but this wasn’t a smile that was filled with joy. Rather, it was a smile that was filled with disdain.

“Ha, ha, ha, if you didn’t say anything, you might have gotten out of this place with your lives. But since you insist on your greed, then there’s nothing wrong with what happens next.”

He didn’t even bother waiting for a response from Lin Fan as he suddenly turned around.

When he did, there were these glass walls that suddenly appeared out of the roof. These glass walls came down all around Lin Fan’s group and trapped them before filling the space that was there in gas.

The client just turned back to watch as all of this happened.

The look in his eyes was as if he was enjoying this, as if he wanted to see the people that were trapped in the glass suffer in their last moments.

However, that wasn’t what he got to see.

Instead of seeing the people that he trapped choking to death on the gas that was released, he found that there was something strange about the gas. It seemed that the gas was moving in a certain direction, almost as if it was all being gathered in one spot.

After a while, the gas that had been blocking the view disappeared and it all gathered in a ball that was in someone’s hand.

Lin Fan held this ball of gas that seemed to be swirling in this ball.

From behind him, one of the elders asked, “Boss, is this enough? Can we take care of this now?”

Lin Fan just gave a simple nod before suddenly punching out and shattering the glass that was around them.

At that, the elders suddenly went off in different directions.
