The word "Abyssal Demon" didn't really mean much to Raze. If anything, he was confused by those words. However, based on the situation and what had occurred, along with the name used, Mosak could only have been referring to one person.
"Belil?" Raze murmured.
"Right, that man did go by that name, didn't he? But I can't believe I would find that disciple here of all places. It's strange. I saw your memories-you're not even from this world, so why would he even choose to train you?" Mosak asked.
Raze was pretty sure there had to be a misunderstanding. For one, Raze didn't have a master in Pagna. He was taught by a teacher at the orphanage and then learned techniques himself from the Dark Faction Academy.
From there, he had picked up things on his own or from the Dark Edge Sword Arts. He was definitely not a disciple of Belil, but what was even more interesting was the name that was used for him.
'Abyssal Demon? Is that because of the place where he's from?' Raze thought. 'That was the name of the Neverfall Clan's base, right?'
"I suppose you wouldn't know much, since he was given that name in the Divine Realm," Mosak continued to explain. "That man caused quite a disturbance when he entered the Divine Realm."
"He was a madman, using the same techniques as you with his fists. He was unruly, didn't really understand the status up there, but I guess it might be because he truly entered the Divine Realm rather than being guided."
Although Raze was listening carefully, using this time to gather his Qi and plan how to best Mosak, he didn't really care about this. The Divine Realm? If the Grand Magus weren't there, then what did it matter what happened up there?
"He was given a nickname due to the trouble he caused. He was quite infamous for a while- that was, until he was taught a lesson. He learned that he was nothing up there, and then we never saw him again." Mosak shrugged his shoulders. "Do you understand? Maybe Belil was a big deal down here, but after what happened in the Divine Realm, he never returned because he was afraid.""And you are using the techniques of someone like that."
Raze found it quite amusing. He had heard some of this story from Belil himself, but if anything, Belil had been tame in his telling of the tale. Such a man, after entering a place filled with powerful individuals, had caused a large disturbance? He never mentioned this.
If anything, it made Raze see the techniques in a new light. These techniques, formed on Pagna and not in the Divine Realm, were enough for him to cause trouble in a place like that. "It doesn't matter anyway. It just surprised me, that's all, and it gave me enough time to come up with a solution for your little sword," Mosak claimed.
Knowing that the two would enter combat once again, Raze placed his hand over his sword, embedding his Qi into the Ghost blade to give it a translucent effect. Raze ran across the floor, and so did Mosak.
The two headed for the center, ready for a clash-and that's exactly what occurred. The swings from Raze's blade were relentless, striking again and again, hitting against Mosak's spear.
While Mosak continued to defend from the attacks, each time his arms were being ripped apart, blood streaking them.
Raze thrust his sword at the center of Mosak, and several cuts appeared in his stomach. With a small jump, Mosak spun his blade, firing off several Qi blasts, but the powerful aspect of the Phantom Edge formation was that it even worked against multiple attacks like these.
As Raze swung his blade to block one attack, it also cut through several of the other Qi blasts. As soon as the Qi blasts ended, Raze saw that Mosak was on him again.
The sword was swung from above, and Mosak lifted the center of his spear to block the attack. At the same time, both of his hands glowed with Divine energy, which burst out in an orb-like shape surrounding them.
The Qi didn't do much to affect Raze, but when he looked at his sword, it no longer had its translucent effect, and the spectral images that normally appeared with each attack hadn't shown.
"Got you!" Mosak said with a smile, slamming the spear down and hitting Raze hard. Despite Raze blocking, his legs and knees bent as the ground beneath him cracked. With the bottom of the spear, Mosak whacked Raze in the face and chin, lifting his head.
The power surged above, even hitting the clouds, causing them to dissipate. It was the first hit that made Raze's mind blur for a moment.
'I have to keep going. I can't lose consciousness... or it'll be the end!' Raze moved his hand over his sword.
'Phantom Edge formation!' Raze thought as he swung the sword at Mosak.
When it was blocked with the spear like before, the energy blasted out from Mosak, destroying the Phantom Edge formation.
"I'm sorry, I already figured that out. If you were up against someone else, this would be an extremely powerful technique, but not against me-not against me!"
The tip of the spear went straight for Raze's head, and he had no choice. He poured his Qi into his special foot technique, moving to the side. His cheek was scratched, drawing blood, but Raze was safe for now.
His breathing was heavier than before.
'Without being able to hit him, I can't regain Qi from my techniques, and Mosak doesn't seem to be tiring at all... This is risky. This man seems to know the techniques, but it's the only
thing I can do.'
Raze, with both hands, lifted the sword directly above his head from the handle. He held it with its side pointed at Mosak rather than the edge, preparing to perform the next formation.
"The 6th Dark Edge Sword Art formation. The Dusk Wing Strike!"
