Chapter 3604: Just You Wait!
"You are kidding, right?" Royer couldn’t help but ask.
Roan shook his head, answering for Grititi. "I’m connected to his soul. He is definitely not lying."
To get rid of the essence from Triaglia... you would need Triaglia herself to intervene and take it out of you! Triaglia is the only Celestial Realm expert allowed to live inside this Universe. The Universe Owner herself. How could Royer, Elsie, and Rifindio ever expect to go to the Supreme Palace and ask Triaglia to do such a thing? She would kill them instead for knowing that secret. No, they wouldn’t manage to even talk to her to start with.
However, that wasn’t all. Roan looked at Grititi, ordering. "But that’s not the only way. Continue."
Grititi nodded. There was indeed one more way of getting rid of that essence. "The essence is connected to her and thus to us. However, the amount each living being carries is nearly nonexistent. The only reason their own bodies don’t get rid of it is because Triaglia is too close. Her presence makes the essence resist. If you move far enough, the essence will lose Triaglia’s support, and your body’s natural defenses will eliminate it."
"Far enough?" Royer narrowed his eyes. "We are already in the Golden Palace, which isn’t even located inside our Universe F956. And yet, you can still make use of it. So, if leaving the Universe isn’t enough, just how far do we need to go?"
Grititi shook his head. "That much, I don’t know. The only reason I even know this much is that it is part of the information given when you go through the ritual. To be honest, I find it quite weird that we were told about the methods to get rid of the essence."
Indeed. It was okay to tell the top Camazotz Bats about how to use that essence in their favor. But why would the removal method be shared as well? That didn’t make any sense.
Rean looked at Royer. "Master, perhaps they are told it as a trap. If they manage to somehow tell the truth, those with the essence will try to leave the Universe, and that’s when they would be caught for knowing what they shouldn’t."
Royer felt conflicted. What Rean just said made sense. Nonetheless, it seemed his only choice right now.
"Of course, there is one more way to get rid of it," Grititi hasn’t finished yet. However, anyone else could guess what that method was.
"Reaching the Celestial Realm, correct?" Roan asked in response.
Grititi nodded. "In the end, causing this essence to flare up inside an expert of the same level wouldn’t make sense. As long as you know it is there, you should be able to use your own cultivation to get rid of it if you are at the same level. At least, that’s what I think."
That seemed a much safer way of managing it, but it was also much harder to achieve than to flee the Universe.
"Errr... guys," Kentucky called their attention. "If we take too long, we won’t be able to fly up there in time. Let’s go already."
"Right." Roan then looked at Grititi’s clothes and reached for a collar under them.
Grititi bitterly smiled, already expecting him to do it. Yet, he said nothing.
*Vup!*
Following that, Roan threw the collar to Rifindio. "Make good use of it."
Rifindio was puzzled, but he nodded and put the collar around his neck, hiding it under his own clothes. Since Roan was giving it to him, it was probably something good.
Kentucky quickly returned to his original form, and everyone jumped on his back. They didn’t wait and sent their Divine Energies into his body so he could use it all to strengthen his wings.
*Flap, flap, flap...*
Kentucky shot upwards, flying to the portal much faster than any of those who entered it earlier. They had never stopped paying attention to the portal, and they saw how the previous two groups had no issues entering the portal. At the very least, there weren’t any traps preventing someone from getting inside.
Surprisingly, Roan brought Grititi with him and kept his cultivation sealed.
"Well... I expected you to simply leave me behind or to kill me right there and then. For you to bring me together with you is already far better than the alternative," Grititi commented. "But what do you want from me? Read the rest of my memories? Put a slave seal? Torture me for what I did to the others?"
"I haven’t read any of your memories," Roan spoke. "I just looked enough to guarantee you weren’t lying. You would be useless as a slave since you are too weak. As for torture, I only use it if necessary, which isn’t the case now. This is the cultivation world, and it has never been fair to start with. Perhaps I would have done the same."
Grititi looked at Roan, then back at Royer. "Then what do you guys want?"
"A bait," Royer spoke with a smile. "We don’t know what is ahead, but we agree it is probably nothing good, right? Well, you can be useful to us by taking the front. Not to mention, you absorbed a lot of the blood and Divine Energy of the guys you killed, didn’t you? You are quite strong now and will continue like this for a while. You are definitely the best for the job. If you survive, great. If not, well, you were lucky to have gotten the chance to try."
"Done!" Rean joined, sighing. "I have added the Soul Power Bomb, Master."
Royer was happy to hear that. "Well done. Grititi, since the seals are not active, they aren’t aware that you told us the secrets. So, from now on, you can’t talk about the essence secret anymore. That’s because we didn’t destroy the seals; we only kept them deactivated directly for the time being. If you speak about it after Roan lets you go, then you will truly die to the seal."
Roan took his finger away from Grititi’s forehead, and Grititi felt his cultivation returning to normal. Right now, he could fight if he wished so. He didn’t, though. He could feel it. Rean had left something inside his soul.
"Oh, and don’t try anything funny," Royer added and raised his hand, making a white light appear.
*Ughh...*
Grititi felt like his head was about to explode, but then, that pain disappeared.
Well, in fact, Royer didn’t do shit. It was all stages by the twins.
Royer continued. "With the Soul Power Bomb, I can make your head explode at any moment, from literally anywhere, and not even your soul will be spared. You have been warned."
This was all just for show, though. There was no such thing as a Soul Power Bomb. That was basically Rean leaving behind a little bit of energy that got released at the right time. Too bad Grititi did not know that. That was more than enough for the guy to follow their orders. "Very well."
At the same time, he thought. ’Hmph! As long as I’m alive, there is a chance. Just you wait!’
Finally, Kentucky entered the portal, and they left the Molten Ocean region.
