THE LAST PARAGON IN THE APOCALYPSE
Chapter 713 - 713: Making of the Seven-Star Paragon Force (13)“Use the next 8 days to think about my offer. If you don’t attack us within these 8 days, I will take it as a yes and visit you again before we attack the third blockage,” Klaus said thoughtfully before he vanished from space.
The queen looked at Jinx.
“I am sorry, my Queen. I didn’t know he followed me here,” Jinx apologized, showing how human she was.
Thankfully, the queen was not unreasonable and didn’t hold it against her.
“I would have fallen for that trap, too, so don’t worry about it. However, the question now remains whether we can trust that human,” she said, and Jinx nodded.
“I can spy on them for a few more days and see if he indeed holds no animosity toward us.
Though there is a beast fighting for him, that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. We must know more about him before making a decision.”
Jinx knew from what had just transpired that Klaus was someone they could not underestimate. This made her raise her guard even higher, and she wouldn’t let any harm come to her queen.
So, she plans to spy on Klaus’s team for a while and see if she can find a weakness. Klaus may be strong, but his team isn’t monstrous like him.
“Do that and report to me immediately if something happens,” the queen instructed.
Jinx nodded and left.
After she was gone, the queen sighed and looked toward a shadow a few meters from her.
“Come out, Linx.” A carbon copy of Jinx appeared from the shadows, but she wore white armor and had a sword sheathed on her back, unlike Jinx, who wore dark clothes and wielded daggers.
She was also a peak Ascension-stage figure, but her energy suggested she was much stronger than both the queen and Jinx.
“What do you think, Linx? Can that human be trusted?”
“Yes, my queen,” Linx answered without hesitation. She appeared to be someone who would think logically before answering a question, so her immediate response took the queen by surprise.
“Why should we trust someone like him? He is a human, and you know how humans are,” the queen said.
“That is because this human is different. I have more knowledge of the outside world than you and Jinx; through that, I have learned of him.
He is someone who stood at the apex of the world’s power. While he is only at the Tier 7 stage, he has the power to kill any of us easily.”
I have witnessed a lot about him, and I can boldly say he is someone we can trust. He has a reputation, and while that doesn’t mean everything, it’s something we can count on.”
Jinx and Linx are the only true ants the queen is proud of due to their talent and evolutionary traits. They have become reliable subordinates.
Linx handles external threats, and Jinx handles internal ones.
Had Klaus not been part of the team when they arrived in the Forbidden Zone, they would have encountered a terrifying ant warrior a couple of miles away from the Forbidden Zone.
This means she had been aware of Klaus for a while now, which was why she didn’t waste her life away. In truth, she had already infiltrated the ranks of the humans and learned a lot about them.
One of these people was Klaus, who is widely known in the entire world.
Now, hearing such a figure want to form an alliance with them, she saw no reason to turn him down. Klaus is a pillar in the human world, so allying with him would be the best thing that could have ever happened to them.
“If you think he can be trusted, then I will listen to you, Linx. But for now, go back and stay out of sight. You can come out when the time comes, and things don’t go as planned.”
Linx nodded and retreated into the shadows.
“A pillar of the humans, yet he is just a Tier 7. I want to know what kind of human you are, Klaus Hanson.” She sighed and began channeling her energy into the cocoon.
Meanwhile, Klaus, who was several kilometers away from Queenie and Nari, smiled.
“What are you smiling about?” Nari asked, holding his hand.
“The Ant Queen is indeed an intelligent figure. Just now, I went to have a talk with her, and from what transpired, I can tell she is someone who plans ahead of time.”
Klaus’s smile widened.
“Do you know there is a being in this Forbidden Zone that could kill all of them if given the slightest chance?” Klaus said, pointing at Lucy and her teammates.
Queenie and Nari frowned. Since they’re not using their energy inside the Forbidden Zone, they can’t sense anything, including the white figure that appeared when Klaus left or the queen.
Klaus didn’t want to scare them away, so they are currently restricted. But hearing there is a being inside the zone that could even kill Kathy, they found it hard to believe.
“Aside from the lady spying on them, another figure was hidden in one of the shadows when I visited them. I nearly missed her, but when I sensed her, I could tell she was someone very dangerous.
Naturally, I waited for her to come out without her knowing, and when she did, I got the information I needed. That figure is much more dangerous than even most of the overlords and the Grand Elders.
This also means that whatever reports we have on these Forbidden Zones must be discarded, and we must prepare for the unknown.
This means the campaign to strengthen Earth will be much more successful than I initially thought.” Klaus smiled, already anticipating what kind of existence the queen and her subordinates would become after evolving them.
Not forgetting the cocoons.
“This is concerning. We thought we had a firm grasp on these Forbidden Zones for years, but it seems we were just playing with them.” Nari sighed.
“This is indeed concerning. I can already see more terrifying discoveries in the coming months when we start the major operations.” Queenie nodded in agreement.
“Let’s forget about that for now. The battle is over, and now they have proven themselves, meaning I must put the next measures in place.” Klaus flew toward the 28, who had just concluded their battle.
A few had sustained injuries, and as such, they are now undergoing healing, while others go around collecting the cores dropped by the ants.
“Well done, everyone.”
