SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 906 - 906: Dragon Warrior Spirit!

Lee Dong popped the box open and swallowed the glowing violet pill. A radiant light poured from within his chest.

Before the eyes of thousands, his torn flesh mended, bones snapped back into place, blood stopped flowing. A pulse of golden-purple light surged around him, creating a halo that shimmered with immortal energy.

“His wounds… they’re healing?!”

“Even pills that heal Earth Immortal wounds in seconds… only the royal bloodlines can afford that!”

“Such a pill is worth a mid-grade city!”

Above in the Cloud Pavilion, Pool Master Bu Dong narrowed his eyes. “Foolish boy… I brought that pill to save your life in necessary situation. It costed me a great fortune!”

Back in the arena, Lee Dong’s lips twisted into a smug, triumphant smile as he flexed his arm and cracked his neck.

“You put up a good dance, wild rat,” he sneered. “But now you’ve lost your fancy bird bow… and your strength is at its end. Time to kneel and die.”

Across the cracked field, Kent stirred.

Still kneeling.

Still bloodied.

But not broken.

His eyes shimmered under strands of blood-soaked hair. His arms trembled as he rose, inch by inch, his breath deep and deliberate.

Lee Dong laughed, stepping forward with his Grandmaster rank saber, the blade humming with bloodlust. “What now? Want to fight me barehanded like a beast?”

Kent didn’t answer.

Instead… he raised both arms to the sky and spoke in a forgotten tongue—words that echoed with ancient power.

“Body of mine, awaken. Spirit within, unleash.

I invoke the rite—Golden Body Inner Spirit Transformation.”

The sky dimmed.

A golden light burst from Kent’s chest.

The ground trembled beneath him as ancient scales crawled up his skin—first bronze, then gold. His flesh hardened like divine iron. His fingers twisted into curved, obsidian claws, and his shoulders cracked outward as majestic wings of a draconic beast exploded from his back. Horns twisted from his head, his pupils became vertical slits, and a primal roar erupted from his throat—a roar that made the arena quake.

ROOOOAAAAAAARRRR!

The aura that followed was not human. It was divine, ancient, terrifying—the pressure of a true apex predator.

The crowd leapt to their feet in panic and awe.

“WHAT?!”

“That… that’s no ordinary beast transformation!”

“Wait—that’s not a cultivation technique I recognize!”

“Is that… a Dragon King’s bloodline?”

Above, even the elders and realm leaders stood frozen.

Bu Dong’s eyes widened for the first time in centuries. “That transformation… doesn’t exist in any of the nine sacred beast manuals… Where did he learn this? How many secrets does this bastard hide!”

“So many tricks! Where did you come from, kid?” Liam muttered in shock.

Even a few high-level realm visitors who sat in floating jade thrones, drinking casually before, now stood and leaned forward, their expressions turning grave.

In the ring, Lee Dong’s bravado cracked.

His saber hand tightened.

His voice, once mocking, now quivered slightly, “What… what in the abyss are you?”

Kent’s voice came not in words, but a growling rumble, echoed with thunder.

“I’m the storm you mocked. The beast you provoked. The dragon that never bowed to heavens or kings.”

He lifted his clawed hands and spread his wings wide, golden aura surging.

“For the first time, Lee Dong… you’ll see what it means to face a real predator.”

Lee Dong forced himself to grin, suppressing the flutter of fear in his chest. “So what if you look fancy? I have a Grandmaster rank weapon and years of Immortal training—you’re just a glorified beast!”

He dashed forward, saber raised.

But even he couldn’t stop the tremble in his knees.

Because in that moment…

He knew.

The prey had changed.

In the skies above the Grand Arena of the Immortal Living Pool, heaven and earth bore witness to a spectacle unlike any seen in generations.

The air itself vibrated with chaotic energies as Kent, in his awe-inspiring draconic form, soared with relentless fury.

His golden scales glistened under the sunlight, his wings spanning wide like divine banners of retribution. He twisted and turned through the sky, his enormous form trailing thunderous shockwaves that shook the arena’s ancient walls.

Below him, Lee Dong, face drenched in cold sweat and teeth gritted in disbelief, summoned a pair of strange metal boots, each embedded with triple fire wings. The artifact flared to life with crimson energy, lifting him into the sky to escape the relentless pursuit.

Kent, however, wasn’t simply flying. He was hunting.

His form shimmered, flickering between different phantoms – a silver wyvern, a shadow-scaled serpent, a flaming Eastern dragon – each shift leaving behind a gust of howling wind and spiritual force that warped the very fabric of space. It was a movement technique no manual could describe.

“He’s changing forms mid-flight! Each form possesses different elemental signatures!” an elder cried from the cloud platform.

From all corners of the arena, gasps and roars filled the air.

“A Mid Earth Magus going against a Peak Earth Magus… and he’s dominating! This is unreal!”

“Just what kind of monster is Kent?!”

“Even if he dies today, his name will be recorded in the golden rolls of genius across realms!”

Yet, Kent paid no mind to praise or awe. In his dilated pupils, there was only Lee Dong.

Lee hurled back deadly spells, one after another. Fire serpents with bone-piercing fangs, ice spears etched in time-freeze runes, and gravitational fields meant to collapse bodies into pulp.

Kent did not dodge.

He roared and took every hit, his golden scales splitting, blood gushing out mid-air, yet his wings never stopped beating, his eyes never flinched.

“Why won’t you die?!” Lee Dong yelled, his voice laced with panic.

Boom!

Another spell landed. The edge of it slashed across Kent’s shoulder, ripping apart scaled flesh and revealing bloodied muscle underneath.

But Kent only grinned, his breath ragged.

“Because… I’m not here to survive,” Kent growled, voice thunderous. “I’m here to rule.”

His wings beat once more. A gale of divine wind pushed against Lee Dong, disrupting his escape trajectory.

He was now being cornered, forced toward the northern barrier wall, the winds and spiritual pressure from Kent’s flight making the space unstable. Every time he tried to move sideways, shockwaves redirected him back into Kent’s flight path.

High above, Bu Dong clenched his fists. “This boy… Kent… he’s truly willing to die for every inch.”

One of the elders turned to him. “Should we intervene, Master Bu? This is beyond a match. This is slaughter.”

Bu Dong shut his eyes. His own son was shaking.

But if he stopped the fight now, he would be planting the seed of fear in Lee Dong’s heart. The ghost of this defeat would follow him for eternity.

“No,” he said slowly. “Let the Dao decide.”

On the other side, Elder Liam, fists trembling, stood from his seat.

“ENOUGH!” he shouted. “Kent has proven his worth. This is cruelty, not cultivation! Let the bell be rung!”

But the ancient bell remained silent.

Back in the air, Lee Dong tried to create a dimensional crack to slip away. Kent crushed it with his wing.

Boom!

The resulting shockwave split the clouds. Lee stumbled in air, his metal boots sputtering.

Kent whispered a final chant.

His claws gleamed with thunder.

His wings surged with flame.

And then he struck.

SLASH!

A single clawed strike descended like divine judgement. From Lee Dong’s scalp to his navel, four deep, glowing claw marks erupted, tearing through his robes, armor, and skin.

Lee screamed, blood erupting from his body as he was hurled through the air like a broken arrow.

But even as Kent delivered the final blow—

BOOM!

Lee Dong, out of desperation, activated a forbidden spell embedded in his Grand master rank sabre spirit—Nine Suns Blast, a suicidal counterattack designed to detonate all fire energy in the surroundings.

A pillar of fire swallowed Kent whole.

The sky turned red.

The entire arena shook.

The elders flinched, raising barriers.

And then… silence.

From the sky, two figures fell.

Kent crashed into the arena floor, creating a crater dozens of meters wide. His wings burned, his body charred, blood pouring from his mouth.

Lee Dong landed far on the other side, still breathing, but unconscious. His body was a shredded mess.

Spectators held their breath.

From the dust and broken ground, Kent did not rise.

Was he dead?

Lee Dong, moments before blacking out, opened his eyes and saw Kent’s body lying motionless.

A cruel smile formed on his lips.

“Finally… dead… you damn beast…”

And then he too passed out.

The arena was in stunned silence.

Even the wind had stopped.

But from the earth, a faint golden shimmer still pulsed beneath Kent’s body.

“Ahrrrr…” A dragon roar came next. Not from Kent. Sparky finally came out with tears as it stood guard before Kent’s body. Till now, it didn’t come out because of Kent’s warning as he decided to fight a life and death match.

The healers and elders feared to approach Kent’s body after seeing the rage of Sparky, who was breathing flames into the sky in agony.
