Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 2609: Clash Of Strength

Karlia didn't give Lin Mu the time to recover. She lunged at him, her claws glowing with Demonic energy. Lin Mu met her head-on, their blows shaking the very air.

For every strike Karlia delivered, Lin Mu countered with one of his own. The battlefield became a storm of fists, claws, and raw energy, neither combatant willing to yield.

As their fight raged on, the ground around them was reduced to rubble, the once-serene forest now a wasteland of shattered trees and smoldering craters. But neither Lin Mu nor Karlia seemed to care. For them, this was more than a battle—it was a test of will, strength, and resolve.

Lin Mu steadied himself as he studied Karlia's movements. Her aura raged like a storm, twisting and coiling around her with a raw, chaotic energy that amplified her power. Her grip tightened, her strength clearly escalating.

"You aren't a pure Qi cultivator," Lin Mu remarked, his tone even. "And yet your methods resemble them. Is this the Demonic Qi Arts of your kind?"

Karlia smirked, her fists still hammering against his defense. "So, you know about it? Interesting. But if you want answers, you'll have to earn them." With a roar, she slammed her head directly into his skull.

BOOM!

The force rippled outward, the ground beneath them splintering and sinking a full meter. Lin Mu's vision momentarily blurred from the reckless attack, his head ringing from the impact. Blood trickled from Karlia's forehead, but she paid it no mind, her grin widening as she relished the pain.

"Reckless," Lin Mu muttered, his tone tinged with admiration. He clenched his fist, channeling Immortal Essence into his arm. The veins along his forearm bulged, glowing faintly with power.

Karlia's instincts flared, and she leapt backward instinctively.

"Mountain Collapsing Fist: First Form — Impact!" Lin Mu's fist shot forward, a devastating force trailing in its wake.

BOOM!

The punch connected with Karlia's torso, sending her hurtling skyward like a comet. Blood spurted from her mouth as the impact cracked several ribs, and her body flew uncontrollably for nearly a kilometer before crashing back to the ground with earth-shaking force.

When the dust settled, Karlia's body was riddled with cuts and bruises, the most prominent being the deep purple bruise on her chest. She wheezed, struggling to draw breath as pain lanced through her ribs.

"Haah… haah…" she panted, her vision swimming.

When the dust settled, Karlia's body was riddled with cuts and bruises, the most prominent being the deep purple bruise on her chest. She wheezed, struggling to draw breath as pain lanced through her ribs.

"Haah… haah…" she panted, her vision swimming.

Most cultivators would have surrendered by now. But Karlia was no ordinary fighter. She was a demon, forged in battle and tempered in adversity. A feral grin spread across her face as her Demonic Aura surged to life.

YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Her scream reverberated as her aura condensed, Demonic Qi flooding her injuries and accelerating her healing. Cuts closed, bruises faded, and shattered bones knitted themselves back together. In less than a minute, she stood tall once more, her body restored.

Lin Mu watched silently, his stance relaxed but ready. He was analyzing every detail, gauging her regeneration speed and strength.

"Impressive," he said as he leapt toward her, landing nearby. "Ready for the second round?"

Karlia wiped the blood from her lips and laughed. "Bring it on!"

This time, she charged directly at him, her sharp, curved horns aiming for his chest. Having experienced his resilience, she decided to use her most potent natural weapons.

"I can use horns too," Lin Mu replied with a smirk, activating the Tyrant Bull Marrow Secrets.

MOOOOOOOOOOOO!

The ground trembled as the ethereal totem of the Tyrant Bull materialized around him. His arms grew thicker, dense with power, and his aura solidified into two massive, horn-like constructs extending from his arms.

"Tyrant Lift!" he roared, meeting Karlia's charge head-on.

DENG! DENG! DENG!

Sparks flew as their horns collided, grinding against each other with deafening screeches. The sheer force of their clash sent shockwaves rippling through the forest, toppling trees and scattering debris. ȓáNÔᛒËš

For ten seconds, they remained locked in a stalemate, muscles straining, auras clashing violently. But Lin Mu's strength proved superior. With a surge of power, he twisted his horn-like constructs and flung Karlia skyward once more.

"Damn it! Is throwing people into the sky all you know?!" Karlia shouted as she soared upward.

She stabilized herself mid-air by kicking off the wind, her body twisting gracefully as she gathered Demonic Qi around her. The energy solidified, forming a massive, crimson horn that enveloped her entire body.

"Blood Battle Demon Arts: Calamity Horn!" she bellowed, diving toward Lin Mu like a falling meteor.

Lin Mu's eyes narrowed. He could feel the immense energy radiating from her attack. This wasn't something he could block carelessly.

"Longgui Bulwark Armor!" he called, activating another technique.

Scorching energy erupted from his body before cooling into dense, rock-like armor that encased him completely. The armor glowed faintly, exuding an indomitable aura, and his gauntlets expanded into hammer-like constructs.

Karlia's Calamity Horn struck just as his defenses solidified.

KABOOM!

The collision unleashed a cataclysmic explosion of Demonic and Immortal Qi, obliterating everything within a four-kilometer radius. The shockwave ripped through the air, clearing the skies of clouds and leaving a circular void that revealed the clear blue above. The deafening sound reverberated across the region, even reaching the distant Capital City, where experts turned their gazes toward the source.

When the dust settled, Lin Mu's armored figure stood at the center of a massive crater. His armor was shattered, fragments falling away as he struggled to stay upright.

"Ugh…" he groaned, shaking off the disorientation. Despite the damage, he had endured the attack.

Karlia, on the other hand, had been flung even farther skyward. Her unconscious form was now a faint speck in the distance, her body limp as it began its uncontrolled descent.

Lin Mu sighed, rubbing his temples. "Shit. We overdid it."

Realizing the potential danger of letting her fall unaided, he leapt into the air, streaking toward her like a comet. He caught her just before she hit the ground, cradling her in his arms.

Her breathing was shallow but steady, her fierce expression softened by unconsciousness. Lin Mu couldn't help but admire her resilience.
